I have enjoyed this little motor for a couple months now
I have enjoyed this little motor for a couple months now, although I have changed about half of the controls on it. The kill switch was the first thing to go, I had just left the dock and it popped right off into the water killing the motor. I had to paddle back to the launch and go home because I had no tools to work on it. I filled the broken switch with silicone and bypassed the safety switch. You would think the safety switch would be of better quality, this is the first time Ive ever seen one go bad soo quick!. The cable wires for the foot control were hard to use. a motor is way heavier than a small rudder. I built a hand control for steering out of bimini top aluminum parts, it works great. The motor bracket cracked the first time out, got to be careful about lifting the motor too high. Seems there should be some kind of stop for that? The company didn't have a specific mounting bracket for my kayak and sent me something that wasnt even close, I bought a sheet of 1/2" star board and built my own, I sort of expected that, I talked with a representative on the phone and could tell I was going to be doing some fabricating anyway. Other than ALL the changes I made, I like the little motor and set up.

The mounting is very secure and steering is easily controlled with the factory foot pedals adapted to control ...
I have this installed on a Wilderness Ride 135. The mounting is very secure and steering is easily controlled with the factory foot pedals adapted to control cables like would be used for a rudder set up. The control box allows speed control, 5 forward and 3 in reverse. The motor can be raised by pushing both pedals and then securing with a retention cord, works well. The motor is held in the down position with a magnet that keeps the motor from riding up when in reverse but is easily over come with the application of both pedals to raise the unit. The battery power is sufficient for an afternoon of fishing if not over used. All of the workmanship on the conversion of the motor, control box, and cables is very professional and is a sealed system. I use this in salt and brackish water. I am very pleased with this set up and highly recommend it.

Can you still make the mounting brackets for a trolling motor? I have a Jackson Cuda HD

Very good product
I puchased the freshwater model from this company with the power lift system. The motor is variable speed in both forward and reverse. Steering is accomplished by use of the rudder pedals on the kayak. The trolling motor is mounted on a Jackson Big Rig. I am using an Optima Bluetop AGM battery (55 ah) and it makes for a great fishing experience. I have used this setup since early Spring and have not had any issues. The company uses very good components!
