Russian Comfrey Bocking-14 Cultivar, 12 Cuttings for Growing Your Own Medicinal Salve, Compost Tea & Animal Fodder

I ordered 6 root cuttings, and the seller sent 9. I've seen other buyers say he sent them extra too, and he included a note saying the extras were deliberate (not a mistake). He sent great planting instructions as well. I planted my root cuttings in the ground within a couple days of receiving them. 7 plants sprouted. So I got 7 plants for the price of 6. I am confident that if I had planted my cuttings in pots, all 9 would have sprouted. The garden where I planted them had a lot of weed competition among other factors working against the comfrey, which could have been motivated by starting the plants in pots and transplanting them to the garden after they sprouted. Still, the product is great, the seller offers great instructions and great customer service, I got more than I paid for. I give this seller the highest possible ranking and would definitely recommend and buy from him again myself.

I purchased the 5-pack of Bocking-14 comfrey root cuttings and the seller actually sent me 7 cuttings. It did take some patience—about half of some of mine took over a month to close to the full 60 days to finally sprout—so don’t give up on them too quickly. In the end, 5 of the 7 rooted and grew, so I received exactly what I paid for plus the benefit of the seller including a couple of extra cuttings. For around $20, I’m very happy with the results. The seller also included good planting instructions and a personal note. Overall, a good experience and I would buy from this seller again. Tip for other buyers: Give the roots plenty of time before deciding they didn’t make it. Mine definitely did not all emerge at the same time.

Great product thank you! And I appreciated the clear instructions and extra couple pieces to ensure I was able to grow what was purchased. (and even extra) I’ve included photos. I garden but had never grown comfrey or ordered online like this. Our local garden centers told me they haven’t been able to source it, so I thought I’d give it a try. When I got the pictured root cuttings, I was skeptical it would work. But I followed the great directions and am thrilled that 7 of 8 cuttings are flourishing! It took a long time but once they sprout they really take off. Thank you for offering this to those of us unable to find it locally!

These roots were perfect when delivered! I had to purchase twice due to the first batch being discarded accidentally by my husband, moving on I purchased another set and as before the seller was kind enough to add a few extras. After following the well written directions sent with them I planted in containers and added a little fertilizer mixed with water and they are starting to sprout about five weeks after showing multiple leaves and about 1" to 3" tall between them and looking very happy to grow and grow, tough little plants! I'm very happy with this purchase, just wish my husband hadn't tossed the first batch and he knows now not to touch anything in the fridge without checking with me first and yes I collect seeds and roots for any problems in the future. Buyers won't be disappointed with this seller!

Ordered 5 cuttings, received 8. Small but mighty. Potted them up until their bed was prepared. So far I have 6 growing nicely in the garden and #7 started poking up in his pot. Giving #8 a couple more weeks before I give up. The plants are vigorous and healthy. Recommended.

Purchased this in September of 25, it’s now late July of 26 and the comfrey is growing fantastic. I was sent way more than I ordered and even received a hand written note from the seller. That meant a lot because in today’s age, you just don’t see that attention. I bought this for my chickens and for creating a large biomass for composting. I’ve already picked each plant clean several times and it comes back very quickly. The chickens go crazy over this stuff and it breaks down and heats up very quickly in the compost pile. Great item, great seller! Very happy.

I ordered 3 and received 6 cuttings. Wow! A great value and worth the low price. The package included very clear instructions on how to plant and even how to make Comfrey tea for a fertilizer. All cuttings came up and they are a beautiful plant. This is a very high quality plant and so easy to grow!
