Works as Advertised
I added a Selmer Tenor sax to my collection, I already had an alto sax. At first I was a little concerned because there are no instructions, but no instructions were needed. With minimal effort and minutes after I received the box the stand was together. I was concerned because of the size and weight of the tenor instrument being so much bulkier than the alto instrument, but the stand balances well with both instruments resting on it.

Perfect HAMILTON Stand!
The media could not be loaded.  It’s a great Saxophone stand, Light weight , Saxophone fit perfectly around the supports of the Saxophone stand, I only Tilted Our Alto Saxophones to one side So bottom support of the Stand doesn’t seat on the saxophone Key.Otherwise is a great Stand!I recommend HAMILTON Stand, I bought stand for 2 Saxophone and they have it for 1 saxophone too.

2 MAJOR flaws with this.
I wanted to like this. The value was right and it seemed like a great solution for my tenor, alto, soprano practice room. BUT, unfortunately it hasn't worked out. There are 2 problems with this:1 - The stand does not work on any surface except a hard surface and even on a hard surface, I'm worried. On any carpet, this is very unstable. The problem are the two little feet that you can see next to the soprano pegs. They are simply too short to be stable. Turns out much of the weight of a sax is on those two little feet. So on a carpet especially, the feet are pushed downward and the balance tips the saxes back and over. Exactly what you don't want to happen.2 - The cushioned areas on the stand for the alto/tenor spots don't work well for tenor. The bottom of the bell hits the metal at the bottom of the brace. Might be correctable if you made the lower cushion (not the top "Y" cushion but the second smaller cushion extended out a little. Basically the whole tenor sax is flush against that metal rail and the bottom knocks on the sax. So lay it on there very slowly because it will touch metal to metal. Over time, I'm sure this will wear off the lacquer at the minimum.Overall, like I said, I wanted to like this stand but it didn't happen. For all you other sax players out there, move on and try something else.

Great stand
I am a band director and use instruments all day long. It’s great to have them all assembled and I can just grab one and put another down. My only wish is that there was a spot for trumpet and trombone as well. I had to buy those stands separately.

Rock solid stand
This is a great stand. I blow alto and tenor saxophones along with the clarinet and bass flute. This stand holds all of them with ease. Strong and stable. This stand won't rock over and dump your instruments on the floor. Made solid and is incredibly easy to put together.

Lower price but great quality!
I was looking for a good sax stand for an alto and tenor, and this one just happened to be one of the less expensive options. I thought "uh oh, is it worth the savings to get this one? What if it's not good?"I was wrong. This thing is solid and holds two horns with no problem at all. It is the perfect size, can hold two altos, two tenors or one of each. I highly recommend this. Save the money and go with this one!

Unbalanced and awkward
I used this product recently on a theater gig. It is incredibly awkward. It does not fold well for travel, and the straight design (and long t shaped bar) made it too big to fit comfortably anywhere around my chair. I kept smacking my instruments either on the chair or stand...even against each other as I tried to pick up the saxes. The worst part of the stand though is that it tips over! With all 4 instruments on it, it would start tipping forward at the slightest jostle. I ended up keeping my foot on the stand the entire performance. If you have enough room (and really good eyesight) to have it in front of you as you play, with plenty of clearance for the music stand, that seems the best spot for it. I'd still keep a foot on it though.
