I like the way this one is made with the numbers etched into the plastic for a more permanent reading than some others I've seen. An easy quick tool to check the condition of your tire tread.

Works as one would expect for measuring tread depth.

I bought this to keep a check on my wife's tires as they neared the end of the tread life. It works well to let you know how low your tread is getting. The indicators are a little small, and are difficult to read in low-light conditions, but that isn't a deal breaker. The measurements match what the tire shop gave me after measuring the tread, so I feel good that it is accurate. Not sure about the long-term durability, but they are cheap enough to replace as I monitor my other two car's tread life.

The gage is pretty accurate and easy to useIt helps one keep abreast of the tires condition without relying on some vendors.
