Is this plugnplay with a dell g3 3579? I just opened it up and it has 2 slots but only one stick in there of this same ram. Can I just pop this in?

If it is the same ram; speed latency etc, it should be recognized by the system without any other user input except at first boot up after where a message is displayed "the amount of system RAM is changed". Confirm and move on!
