Sennheiser ME 64 Cardioid Condenser Capsule Head for K6 Series

Outstanding Microphone! I purchased this Sennheiser ME 64 Microphone for use with a Canon 80D. With the addition of a pro wind screen, I was able to conduct interviews on an active runway. The winds on the tarmac were about 25 mph and the sound of jet engines were present. My interviews were prefect. The ME 64 is the equal to the Sennheiser ME 66 as far as quality and sound. I have used the ME 66 since 1992 for reality television shoots for tv networks. I highly recommend the ME 64 over any other microphone on the market. Raised the bar for DSLR shooting!

This is the perfect shotgun microphone for indoor ENG & documentary use.Using this mic, speech is clearer, and is very convenient when using a wireless lav mic is time comsuming or intrusive.This mic gets clear speech and eliminates off axis and background sound. Allowing you to get sound that doesn't have artifacts you didnt notice (i.e. hum, plane, car).I have the ME64, ME66, and ME67. Depending on distance, and size of the room I use different mics. Ideally, I use the ME64 indoors where anything longer would pick up too much or have noise.I pretty much recommend anything in the Sennheiser Evolution series.

With it's cardioid pattern this little capsule is great at rejecting background audio and focusing on talent around 1m away. It does drop off quickly though so it's not great if your shooting wildlife with a longer lens. If you own a K6/ME66 combo, adding this for interviews is a no brainer.

I got this mic because the me 66/67 was not ideal for indoor usage. I had an extra power capsule available so it was a good match. good day!
