No Cheesy Mouse Here
I might be a little weird but I still prefer a wired mouse. This is my go-to item. It feels good and always works well.

A good mouse, with a couple faults
I do like this mouse, it's a good size, and fits well in my hand. Really only have 2 issues that might bum you out:Middle button click - the wheel is actually kind of hard to push. Well, not hard, but it takes more effort than it should. If you use a lot of mouse middle button clicks, this would be annoyingThe Side buttons - they are at a little bit of an awkward spot on the sides, so that when I need to use them, I have to move my thumb more than I'd like. I know ... I'm lazy, but other mouses I've used have those buttons lay right where my thumb rests naturally

A Good Corded Mouse
I needed a corded mouse, after several tries I found this one works smoothly and compatibly with Windows 10.

Okay if you've never used the Bluetooth Version.
I got this mouse thinking it was just a wired version of Microsoft's Bluetooth® Mobile Mouse 3600. It has a similar enough shape and appearance online that I thought that it was. After receiving and using it briefly, I know now that it is not. This is not bad in and of itself. The Comfort Mouse 4500 (this mouse) is perfectly adequate on its own. It is only in comparison to the BT Mobile Mouse 3600 that it feels like an inferior product.Where the 3600 feels more precise and accurate, the 4500 feels bigger, looser and floatier. The 4500's scroll wheel spins freely as opposed to the regular detents of the 3600's click wheel. The 4500's buttons travel further and connect with a louder clacking than the 3600. On MacOS (10.12 Sierra), the 3600 can be configured with the native mouse preferences in the system settings. The 4500 does not show up in settings (though it does have basic functions). If you want to adjust anything (tracking speed or button mapping) you will need to download and install Microsoft's drivers.I've included photos for comparison. The 3600 is blue on the left, and the 4500 is gray on the right. The 4500 is slightly larger.None of these things are deal breakers. The 4500 is perfectly fine. When you use a specific mouse every day and are attuned to how it moves and feels, any change from that norm is exaggerated, and that's what I'm pointing out here. If you are used to the 3600, be aware that the 4500 is an entirely different device from the 3600, despite looking like it is just a wired version.

I think it is Very Comfortable and Versatile
I think it is Very Comfortable and Versatile; I like being able to switch from right hand to left hand and the size and symmetry of this mouse allows for that. And I don't like the idea of having to get batteries for a mouse, this one is corded, which fine with me.

Had the same mouse for quite a few years. Comfortable, worked fine. After many years of hard use mouse started acting up. Wanted the same mouse....so bought same one again. Comfortable, reliable, long lasting. No complaints.

Good high resolution USB mouse that is comfortable and smooth.
Mouse that works. I had one of the Microsoft Comfort Mouse 4500 model before. So, I bought a second one through Amazon as the price is good. I've had no problems with it and it works flawlessly. The resolution is also very high using the blue laser. It doesn't lose tracking like the red laser. It's got a thumb button for going back in the browser history and other wheel features that I normally don't use. I like the feel of it and how smooth and accurate it points on the screen - that's all that matters. It's not jittery and it's not frustrating to use. This is why when the price is good and everything about it is good, it's a good choice.Ok, I downgraded the ratings for this mouse by one star. The reason is, the mouse I received is not defective, however, the mouse wheel was really jittery and hard to control. So what I did was I took it apart. In doing so, the screws needed to be located and unscrewed from the bottom. All mice before used phillips (cross) screws. Not sure why Microsoft switched to using two 5mm and an 8mm Torx screw at the bottom of the mouse. Long story short, once you have unscrewed the Torx screws from the bottom and lifted open the mouse, the wheel can be popped off without unscrewing any other screws from the circuit boards. To pop the mouse wheel out, pop out the front first with a small flathead or slot drive precision screwdriver. Then, use the same screwdriver and nudge up the rear. It will pop out. There's a spring under the wheel. I had to snip off about 1/5th of the spring. The spring causes the wheel to spring up too much and therefore causing more light to pass through and causing inaccurate readings from the sensor. Also depending on how the mouse is put back together, the buttons might feel stiffer. So, adjust as necessary when putting back the top portion of the mouse. Once the screws are put back in place and the glide stickers are put back on, the mouse works like a charm. The shorten spring still holds up the mouse wheel at the right height and scrolls really nice. This is still the best mouse I've used even with the corrective steps I took. I took off one star due to the Torx screws used and the adjustment to the mouse wheel spring. No one should have to adjust this on their own. And no, blowing compressed air into the mouse wheel does not work. This method only works if you have an extremely dirty mouse filled with dust or fuzz.

Get one!
Great mouse , very accurate pointer , I scroll tons of pages and by far the wheel without the clicker feel is the best. This is my 3rd one , I have worn out 2 others and hopefully they keep making them in the future!!

Good mouse, scroll wheel is bad
This mouse is very good, except the scroll wheel. It does not click or have ridges. Consequently, I am unable to know if I am actually moving it, or sliding my finger up and down. If the wheel clicks, I would get the feedback I need. For those who don't like the noise, ridges on the wheel would provide the tactile feedback I need. Outside of the scroll wheel (which I use regularly), this is a good mouse.

Simple and effective
This mouse is easy to use and does what it is supposed to do. No fancy add-ons that one would rarely use.
