Reencle Home Composter, Electric Kitchen Food Waste Bin, 14L XL Family Size

Two weeks in and enjoying the Reencles quiet efficiency; no noise no smell and better than using a food caddy or bin. We dump food waste in daily and so far it is a long way from filling. Looking forward to using the output in the garden.

These machines have to be seen to be believed. You tip all your food waste in there (hard, soft, wet, dry - it doesn’t matter) and in a few days you have soft, crumbly, odourless compost. It’s really amazing.

It was my favourite thing, until it broke and stopped working after only 7 weeks of use. Have contacted the company but they are not responding to emails. It is also very smelly. You have been warned! Expensive mistake.

Appalling customer service. Reencle sell a product however it’s not fit for purpose as they are unable to supply replacement filters. The machine does not work correctly without replacing the filters. They clearly only focused on selling machines. Fine another make . Do not purchase this machine

Works well so far

I keep it in the kitchen, and it is slightly louder than my fridge, but not by much. The smell is mostly present when you open the lid, and will depend on how balanced your compost is. (took me few weeks to get rid of the yogurt smell after adding too much at once) after that I learned not to add too much stuff at once, but if i do it in smaller batches it handles all my organics no problem. So far I am very happy with the purchase and would buy it again.

Der Küchenkomposter ist für mich eine lohnende Anschaffung. Er arbeitet still und leise vor sich hin und kompostiert Schalen,Essensreste usw,in recht kurzer Zeit.Wichtig zu wissen ist,das der Kompost noch nicht fertig ist.Er braucht noch einen Monat,vermischt mit Mutterboden.Erst dann ist er für Pflanzen nutzbar. Man sollte auch wissen,das der Deckel mit einem Sensor öffnet und schließt. DAS heißt der Sensor muss frei bleiben,ansonsten arbeitet der Deckel ständig.Der Komposter entwickelt im Innern natürlich Gerüche die nicht so lecker sind,also ist Deckel zu wichtig.

I'd been through two other devices labelled as "kitchen composters", that were really nothing more than heat and grind devices... that produced pre-compost material. I picked up the Reencle last year after seeing the reviews and testimonials as being a more true composter. In the past year, i couldn't be more happier with the result. It just works without much effort. I take the resulting composter output and as recommended mix it with some black earth soil (i use a traditional compost tumbler unit) and then add back into the garden... much more efficient process and timlier than the "traditional" composting method. Very, very happy with it!
