This is a nice case. I like the design
This is a nice case.I like the design.Looks rather classy like one of those overpriced Otterboxes or even better. It has a rubbery construction on the corners. Which is good if you happen to drop your phone and it lands on a corner. The phone feels very comfortable and secure in my hand. All the buttons (power, volume controls) function flawlessly in this case.Only negative I have found is the little fold out plastic tab on the back of the case...takes a fingernail to spring it....well anyway it is supposed work like an easel in landscape mode. It is not very stable causing the phone to fall over.It comes with a stylus. All in all a pretty good case.UPDATE: 11/16/14 Yesterday, while taking something out of my backpack I accidently pulled with it my Moto G 2nd Gen which fell about 4 feet to a concrete surface. The phone survived unscathed and continues to function well. Couldn't find any scratches on the case either. This little episode has left me feeling even more impressed with this case. Also on my review I stated that the fold out plastic tab on the back of the case was unstable. As it turns out it works just fine. After further review it seems that I had neglected to fully lock in the bottom support to the plastic tab when it folds out. An obvious case of blatant ineptness on my part.UPDATE: 5/11/15 I notice some reviewers report challenges in applying the screen protector that comes with the case. The Moto G 2nd Gen screen is Corning Gorilla Glass, which IMHO, doesn't require a screen protector. It takes a lot of effort to scratch Gorilla Glass. Ever since I got this phone I have thrown it in my backpack where it is exposed to all kinds of pointy, and abrasive stuff like car keys, gate controllers, pens, change, headphones, flash drives, groceries..etc. In the over 6 months that I have had the phone I have yet to see a scratch or abrasion of any kind on the GG screen without a screen protector. If you feel like it check out the Gorrilla Glass demo on YouTube.

Comparison to Tudia UltraSlim case.
This is a comparison to the Tudia UltraSlim case. I bought this and the Tudia UltraSlim, and like the Tudia better. The main differentiating design between these two products is the smooth, slim Tudia compared to the heavier Rugged Armor. First, the heavier rubber case on the Rugged Armor really doesn't do anything more than the Tudia to protect the phone, since the corners which are the critical points if the phone is dropped are identical in thickness and presumably cushioning to the Tudia. The margin protection around the sides of the phone is also the same The heavier rubber grid on the back of the Rugged Armor doesn't really do any good for drop protection either, as far as I can tell. How often are you going to drop it flat on its back. Also the raised button areas for the power and volume controls on the Rugged Armor are very hard to use, requiring a very strong push to get the phone to respond. The more corrugated feel on the sides of the Rugged Armor does give a more certain hold on the phone compared to the smooth sides of the Tudia, but it's so corrugated that you can't tell by feel where the control buttons are without looking at the phone, thereby offsetting the advantage of the better grip. The snap out feature on the back of the Rugged Armor so you can sit the phone down and lean it back works fine, but how often do you use a phone like this, so I'm not sure of the value of this. Also, the rugged thick grid of the Rugged Armor makes it harder to get in and out of a pocket, whereas the Tudia slides smoothly. So overall in function I'm not sure what the heavier Rugged Armor case gets you.

great product and price.
This is a nice heavy duty case. I got it for my dad (a senior citizen) since i'm sure it can withstand a few drops. The case itself isn't as bulky as an otter box (which i hate and don't understand why people buy). The fit is really tight and i do feel like the phone or the case will break every time i put the case on. I just realized the kickstand part comes off! Mind blown! I'm sure my dad won't use it though...but since the case isn't bulky, i decided to leave it on to add another layer of protection! Without the kickstand case, i think the case is still durable, albeit you'd wanna be a little more careful. The case came with a screen protector that was for the 2nd gen. I consider myself pretty good at putting protectors on without it messing up...unfortunately for me...(may be not to others)...this screen protector is a really really really tight fit..i'd say 98% perfect fit for the moto g screen. This made it a bit difficult to put on. After a few days of use, i noticed the bottom part near the speaker lifted off. I can only deduce two contributing factors....1. the protector was too tight and the case itself (the bottom part), pushed it off. 2. The designer of the screen protector decided to do a "cutout" approach to surround the speaker with the screen protector, instead of just leaving the bottom portion out like the top portion. Sorry for the confusing explanation! In essence, the bottom portion of the screen protector has an unnecessary small piece of protector which contributes to it lifting off. The rest of the screen is perfectly fine.It also came with a stylus. It works...nothing special. Its a little impractical since the case doens't have a stylus holder. But it is free afterall. YOu can use it on your tablet or other phones.
