Great replacement for factory installed filter housing

Well, I had not changed the filter in my 5er since I bought it. Just forgot about it and it’s inside the electrical cabinet (I know, stupid) and to get to it you have to crawl into the storage compartment like a snake and disconnect the batteries and ac power in case you spill water. Anyway, I finally decided it was time. I ordered these filters and took the plunge. Sadly, they made no difference in water taste but I have better pressure. They fit perfectly despite they being somewhat different in appearance and they are way less then the brand name filters. Always keep track of the o ring at the top of the housing and use some Vaseline on it during installation or it may leak.

It is critical to have replacement filters when you travel/camp because you never know about your inbound water quality. I like to keep spares and getting four keeps us covered.

These appear to be identical to the Flowpur 8 at a fraction of the cost. Inside the box was a bag of 4 filter. The gasket fell off of one of them but I just reinstalled it before putting in the housing

We use this filter for our motor home when booking up and our water is always pure and tastes great.

Using these in my rv to filter the city water supply. Working fine, but no info on filtering capability - water feeds just fine - with no discernible tastes left. A water test costs too much for casual use if there is no known problem.

Have purchased these previously. Good replacement filter for RV.
