Really a great product for working with pastels, both firm and soft, as well as charcoals. Blending sticks pick up all the colors you are using and these are, sort of like erasers for those blending sticks. For the price, very worth the buy. I have found myself going through a lot but it's much cheaper than going to an art shop to buy them and they work wekk

These sandpaper sharpeners work really well. They are my favourite way to sharpen the point on my good pencils. You hold the wooden plaque and peel back the top sheet to expose the sandpaper on which you can now rub the side of the point of the pencil - sharpens really quickly. I do this not only when the point first dulls but also after “whittling” away the wood with an Exacto type blade. You can press hard on the sandpaper because it is backed by the wood. EXCEPT NOT ON ONE OF THESE. One was made correctly, the other was made with the sandpaper upside down... not as useful and definitely more awkward to use. What ever happened to quality control!?!?

These are really good for pointing a pencil or knocking a sharp point down. It took me a while to get my technique downbut I really feel comfortable with them. They are worth the money (very reasonable) and they don't take up much space.A good product!

Perfect for sharpening my pencils, enough on the pad to be economical, especially as you two of them. Good price for the money. Tried to get similar thing at an art store and cannot find them as stand-alones.

To be honest I don't think I'll need 5. Don't get me wrong it works great. But I didn't realize just how much use you can get out of each one. Wouldn't recommend getting these for just an art class, what I did, but if you go through lots of them or are getting them to split with others

Unless you pair this with a much sturdier sandpaper block these are nearly useless. A whole sheet is used up on one sharpening session with a Conte Charcoal pencil. It would be decent to use alongside a Nitram block so you can fine tune the point but besides that you're basically going to run through this in a few sessions.

For what its advertised, it's ok, the quality is weak but it does what's needed just dosent last long and will need replaced frequently if used daily

They work well for cleaning blends stumps. They’re small enough to fit in my pencil cases for easy travel.

These are exactly as one would expect. They are sandpaper to get the perfect shape on the end of your pencils (watercolor pencils in my case) for perfect shading or what have you. They work perfectly for my needs and when/if I need to purchase more, I will certainly do so. I’m happy.
