A Must-Have Collection for Stephen King Fans
The Stephen King Movies & TV Collection DVD is a treasure trove for fans of the legendary horror writer, offering an assortment of adaptations that showcase his storytelling brilliance. While the quality of each adaptation varies, the collection as a whole is a fantastic way to explore King’s eerie, imaginative worlds. What I Loved: Variety of Titles: The collection includes a mix of iconic movies and TV miniseries, giving fans a wide range of King’s work to enjoy. From psychological thrillers to supernatural horror, there’s something for everyone. Nostalgic Appeal: Many of the adaptations carry a retro charm, especially the miniseries, which evoke the feel of classic TV events. Fans of 1980s and 1990s horror will particularly enjoy revisiting these gems. Great Value: For the price, the collection offers hours of entertainment and a thorough dive into King’s cinematic universe. It’s a convenient way to own several adaptations in one package. Special Features: Some versions of this collection include bonus features like behind-the-scenes content or interviews, adding extra insight into the making of these adaptations. What Could Be Better: Variable Quality: While some adaptations are masterpieces (Misery, The Shining), others (The Langoliers, Dreamcatcher) feel dated or fail to capture the depth of King’s writing. Picture Quality: Depending on the production date of the titles, the picture quality can be inconsistent, with some films showing their age. Missing Key Titles: While this is a robust collection, it doesn’t include some of King’s most beloved adaptations (It, Stand By Me, etc.), which would have made it even better. Final Thoughts: The Stephen King Movies & TV Collection DVD is a worthwhile addition to any horror fan’s library, especially for those who appreciate King’s unique style of storytelling. While it has its flaws, the sheer variety and nostalgic value make it a must-have for collectors and fans alike. 4/5 stars.

REGION ONE KING BOXSET DVDs
It does state NTSC here on the Amazon site, and just to be absolulutely clear...This is REGION ONE and you need a multi region player. This collection is fabulous VFM - I already have BluRay STAND and DVD GOLDEN YEARS, but the remaining 5, though seen in the past are now nicely in my S King collection. All good quality, correct ratio, mint picture, good sound and all have (yellow) subtitles. No extras. Apart from being good to excellent films, the box set is a space saver!!! At this price (currently £21) highly recomended. EDIT 14 Mar 2025 Perhaps I should add...in my personal opinion this disc contains 5 of the best adaptations of King's novels. PET SEMETARY directed brilliantly by Mary lambert scares and hits you from left field with it's dramatic pacing and climax. Excellent acting from everyone helps. SILVER BULLET a vampire tale with a difference. Twists and turns and again excellent performences from the kids. THE DEAD ZONE Perhaps bigger in it's plot line, this never fails to grip me. This is not to mention my own all time favourite THE STAND Now if only the original "IT" and "SALEM'S LOT" were on this collection....
