Great concept but if your not in range of someone else ya can't use it.takes 14days to get to you even if amazon says your a member...device works plug n play..but its not yet accessible like cell phones like I said its a great concept and cool..I'm happy just hold onto the device for emergencies unless you got alot of friends to access with...most nodes are off...

Touch screen is too small to use. There are two battery devices that both appear to need to be charged. Get a Lilygo instead.

Should be zero stars. I'm not unfamiliar with meshtastic. I've built and bought over 50 nodes. But this hardware is junk. "Phone" stopped turning on completely after about 36 hours from setting it up. Pathetic. Avoid EDIT: the mini phone will pop out of the 3d printed case with a little effort.(adding a little heat will help but be careful not to melt/warp it) and you can find replacement phones cheap on amzn,(I found one from a brand called soyes that seems to be working) just make sure that it has the smaller 2.5 inch screen, and then install meshtastic yourself. You will need to use f-droid, as they do not support chrome or ios.

The mini phone stopped working within 3 weeks and the meshtastic will not charge unless it's on... the battery dies very fast as well. For 140 bucks you can build this without spec5
