Lucky Seven 40k Transmission Oil Cooler lpd47391

I installed the LPD47391 40K Transmission Oil Cooler on my Hummer H3, and the results have been outstanding. Before the installation, my transmission oil temperature would climb to around 116°C (241°F) when towing for about an hour. After installing this cooler, I completed a 5-hour towing trip, and the transmission temperature never reached 80°C (176°F). That's a massive improvement and exactly what I was hoping for. Installation was straightforward using only the included hardware and brackets. On the H3, I did have to make a few adjustments: Relocated the horn to create enough mounting space. Moved the wiring attached to the center support in front of the radiator. Mounted the cooler with the ports facing upward to help prevent air from becoming trapped inside the unit. One thing I chose not to use was the supplied hose. I couldn't find sufficient information regarding its pressure or temperature ratings, so for peace of mind I purchased 10 feet of hydraulic transmission-rated hose, cut it into two sections, and used that instead. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this cooler. The reduction in transmission temperature has been dramatic, and it has given me much more confidence when towing for extended periods. If you're looking for a heavy-duty transmission cooler and have the space to install it, I'd definitely recommend this one. Pros: Excellent cooling capacity Significant reduction in transmission temperatures Includes mounting hardware and brackets Solid construction Great for towing applications Cons: Included hose specifications are not clearly documented May require minor vehicle-specific modifications for mounting however i did not drill or cut anything, only used holes that were already there and parts that came with the radiator. Bottom line: A worthwhile upgrade that reduced my towing transmission temperatures from 116°C to under 80°C. Very satisfied with the purchase.

Cooler lines blew out one day after install. As I am writing this July 2026 this cooler has now blown out between the plate and fin assembly. May have wrecked my transmission, dangerous and a fire hazard. Avoid this cooler

Awesome quality. Will be buying 2 more 1 for my son's Tahoe and 1 for his brothers truck.

Almost really good. It comes with enough hardware and fitting that you’ll need. Just don’t use the hose provided. It busted on me only after 2 hours of driving and had me on the side of the interstate. Replaced with some better stuff. Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars.

Cooler works good the hose that comes with it failed after about 3 days would advise getting better hose
