A brilliant alternative to the Dyson Airwrap
I didn’t buy this for myself, but picked it up as a birthday gift for my sister — and she absolutely loves it! She’s been using it daily since, and keeps comparing it (very favourably!) to our other sister’s Dyson Airwrap. The attachments are super versatile — she especially loves the auto-wrap curlers and the paddle brush. It dries and styles her hair quickly without causing any heat damage, which is a big plus. And for the price, it's a fantastic value compared to the Dyson. While it wasn’t for me personally, seeing how impressed she is with it definitely makes me feel like I made the right choice. If you're considering a premium hair styler without the Dyson price tag, the Shark FlexStyle is a strong contender.

Oh my!! Why didn’t I buy this sooner?
Oh my god this product is amazing! I was hesitant because of the price, but bought during the Black Friday discount making the price much more cost effective. The colour is lovely and makes it look premium. I’m terrible at styling my hair which is fine and on the thin side. It’s so much lighter abd easier to use than my GHD hairdryer. Very quick to dry my hair. The heat level is easy to control and doesn’t seem to overheat my heat. The accessories are easy to use once you get the hang of it. I wouldn’t use this for the first time if you’re going out. Have some practice first and honestly it’ll be worth it! My partner said: “it’s the best you’ve ever done your hair so far”. I found that the curls held well. With better hair products I could probably improve that even more. The only downside are the positioning of the buttons which would suit being higher up, but I can see how having them lower prevents accidental pressing hence leaving this as 5 stars.

Three and a half stars
Not as good as the Dyson version for curls in my experience and the curls hold less than 30 mins for me. Which is disappointing. Other functions are good, efficient and fast to dry. Is quite loud though...

Brilliant but
Quite impressive gadget that does what it says on the box. The colour and design are a cut above the rest. Daughter loves it. My only gripe is the sound level and the motor running pitch. My daughter uses it with noise cancelation headphones.

Brilliant product- super fast and curls well. Didn’t come with storage bag as advertised. Glad I upgraded.

Not for extensions
Not ideal for hair with extensions. Takes longer than a normal hairdryer and just pulls at extensions roughly or makes them frizzy.

Not good for long dense hair
I bought the Shark FlexStyle expecting it to work on long, dense hair as advertised. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t perform: airflow is too strong to wrap hair, curlers don’t hold even on high settings, and both brushes give the same flat result. I’ve tried it once and it’s clearly not suitable. It’s not a usage issue. The product doesn’t match its claims for my hair type. Not fit for purpose. I have cheaper products that work better unfortunately.
