Classic pieces that I remember singing! These are great for 6th and up. Some of my students are on the high end on alto and some notes are definitely alto! Great music though!

I am a voice teacher who requires my students to purchase this book as their first book. I absolutely love this book and its counterparts (Soprano, Tenor, & Baritone). It's just perfect for any beginning singer. I wanted to write a quick review to inform purchasers of something you will not know until you actually purchase this book.I purchased a copy of this book for myself several years ago, and although it came with a CD, my CD only included the accompaniments…Nothing more, nothing less. The CD still includes only the accompaniments…However, as I have been purchasing more copies of this book recently for my students, I have found that the CD now also includes software to transpose the songs to other keys and speed up/slow down songs for practicing purposes. When I discovered this, I couldn't believe it. This is genius and a HUGE help to my students!Most people do not know that this software is offered on the CD until you actually buy the book, so I wanted to get the information out there. :)

such a great book love the low key and choice of songs

The product description said a CD was included with the book. There was not a CD with my original order nor was there a CD included with my replacement order.

Quality solos for young voices.

I have found these songs to be easy as described and very doable. The selections themselves are in English and supporting accompaniment is very predictable and easy. Depending on the student, they may not be as appealing as one would like.

the book is fine but the CD didnt come with it :(Instead it provided a website to download the songs from which was a bit of turn-off.Should have made it clear in the advertizing materials
