This calcium nitrate fertilizer worked for me after just the first use. I got this to use in my garden at mid-season when many things need a boost of calcium - tomatoes, peppers, etc. - it worked well and takes very little to do the trick. I apply bone meal when I plant but having this extra boost was just what my vegetable garden needed.

I needed calcium to clear up some bottom rot in my tomatoes. I wanted a slow release kind and this one is a liquid that you dilute with water. I worry that the dilute kind isn't as useful for my container garden as at times the water will drain thru.
