Whether you have two mums, two dads, one parent, or one of each, there's one thing that makes a family a family... and that's love. A book for EVERY family by dazzling illustrator Sophie Beer. Review: sweet book - Love this book. I always love to add diversity into my baby's book selection and normalize as many different types of people and families as possible and this fits perfectly. The illustrations are the best part, visually showing all the different types of families and that no one is more or less "normal" than the other. Review: A lovely little book - A perfect little book for kiddos. Shows examples of a variety of family types and structures without being too “in your face” about it. I bought this book to do a read-aloud at a daycare and the kids loved it!

Great for young education
Trying to educate my 8 year old post divorce about family dynamics changing. Didn't like it much but overall would recommend.

Sweet book with nice representation
This book is so cute and the illustrations are adorable. One of my two year old's favorites. Shows a diverse range of families and all the ways they show they love each other.

love this book!
This book doesn’t outwardly give you language to describe other families, which I actually love! It SHOWS you what love is in a family (showing up, helping, etc) and displays a variety of family types. :) you can choose to explain or ask prompting questions, but for me, it’s been easy to show my sons that this page has two mommies, this page has two daddies, this page has a mommy and a daddy like us, this page has a grandma. And it’s normalizing all types in the process. We read this all the time with my little boys. ❤️

My baby's favorite book
We have two of Sophie Beer's books (the other is Kindness Makes Us Strong) and my 11-month-old asks to read them every day. He loves the simple language and colorful pictures, and I love the welcoming messages and baby-resistant pages.

Great toddler and pre school age book that celebrates all different kinds of families
Brilliant book that beautifully illustrates the make up of different families and how love is the commonality that binds them. Great for younger children of pre school age and would recommend for all families not just LGBTQ+. It’s so good and important for young people to see their families reflected in stories! We love it!

fun storytelling with pictures
This book is such a simple concept - love makes a family - and just enough words. What we love most is the way the illustrations show narratives (for example, a child cries for having lost their ice cream cone, which was stolen by a monkey that hides with it in the tree, and the dad offers his ice cream to console the child while the rest of the family looks on). The other win is the vibrant, high contrast colors. My 1 yo and 4 yo both stay engaged with it. Delightful book, would make a great gift.
