Worth the money!
Would love to give more stars if I could! Very well packed and shipping was really fast. This robot vacuum has many features that are very useful such as the Mobil phone app control . Set up was easy and straightforward. Easily set up in my first floor, and watched it clean for a while. Very strong vacuum power, was able to clean up relative dirty floor, and very well designed path. It was able to go under my furnitures to clean underneath it. When it reaches the edge it will automatically stop and turn to other direction, unlike my old robot vacuum constantly hitting the wall........and also with the app I was able to ask it to clean while I’m away. And also it goes back to the charging station automatically after finish the job. I would definitely recommend this robot vacuum to all my friends over any other brand. With the amount I paid for it, I am very satisfied. Definitely worth every penny I spent on it.

Sorry Deebot, you missed the mark on this one!
I'm going to keep this short and sweet. I have had 3 DEEBOT N79s over the past 2 years. The first two I bought during Black Friday and they both worked flawlessly for 9 months. They literally changed our lives (and socks) in terms of dog hair on our floors (2 dogs, a lab and a pug/boston mix). The first robot died under twelve months so I got a free refurbished replacement (that makes my third) with no hassle (Kudos to Ecovacs on this!). This refurbished one lasted a little over a year before it too died. I still have one of the original ones that I purchased during that Black Friday and it's still going strong, but now I'm down to one robot. Just to be fair, I change filters and brushes semi-regularly and I do clean the brushes but I could afford to be a little more diligent on this front.Since I was relatively satisfied with the N79, I thought I would try an upgrade to the 601 with perhaps better navigation features. Unfortunately, I was wrong! It's not better in terms of features and it gave me more grief than it was worth in terms of price with a constant "tangled brush" error every 5 minutes (no hair in the brush whatsoever!) and periodic shutdown of brushes and vacuum. Needless to say, I'd have to babysit this thing if I wanted get the floor done. Perhaps it's defective but I'm not wasting time on finding out with another one. Furthermore, I can't recommend the "new" Ecovacs Home App either (Why does it need permission to make phone calls!? It's a robot vacuuming app for goodness sake.) All in all, I can't recommend spending any more money above the N79. It gets the job done, i.e., vacuums autonomously while collecting dirt and hair with little to no errors and manages to find it's way home 7 out of 10 times (depending on how complex the area is). Anyway, this is my experience, but the choice is yours to make.

Works well but app won't install on my iPad.
I ordered the Deebot 601 to help me keep up with daily cleaning. (We have 3 indoor cats and they make it challenging.) The online reviews were for the most part good and at under $200 the price made it too tempting to pass up. It arrived in two days, and was very well packaged. When I tried to set the app up on my iPad, the software load would reach about 96% and then timeout and display an error message. I tried several times but to no avail. But that may be for the best because it requested access to do almost everything including read and write to my files. It also wanted information about me that I didn't feel was necessary just run an app. It did work easily with the remote after I read a couple of paragraphs in the manual regarding setup. So far it's gotten stuck only a few times. I find it best to be home when it's running in case that happens. It makes very little noise and you could easily have a quiet conversation with it running. Deebot swallowed a marker whole once, but a stray sock left it silently paused and gagged, as did an iPad charging cord. The first time I emptied its bin, I was amazed by the amount of pet hair it picked up. I ran at the next day and there was more pet hair, but silkier whiter "peach fuzz', so it seems each time it makes a pass it picks up older and possibly slightly embedded pet fur. Deebot does not have intelligent mapping so it moves randomly around the house, but for its price point that is no surprise. By default it sweeps in random mode. This mode is recommended by the manual for carpets. I read that a back-and-forth pattern (best for hard floors) can be selected, but must be done at the start of the cleaning cycle. I've not tried this. Overall I'm pleased so far, but it's only been a little over a week. Eventually I may reallocate this machine to the 2 upstairs bedrooms and buy a different robot vac with more bells and whistles. Hopefully by then the technology will have improved to the point there's an affordable product that mops - and sweeps,- well.

Works great on tile and carpet.
Very easy to set up and use. You think your floors and carpet are clean until you run this! Picks up cat hair and dog hair you didn't see. Our cat has long hair but the dog is a chocolate lab with short hair and doesn't really shed, but this vacuum picks up a lot. Like most of these type, the bin is small, but very easy to empty. Run this in the morning before going to work and again when I get home.It is small enough to easily get under chairs, tv stand, and coffee table. It vacuums and finds its way back to the charging station. You do have to keep wires off the floor, shoes out of the way (gets tangled in the shoelaces) but that's about it.My only complaint is my cat - it doesn't ride on the vacuum like some cats, but it wants to play with the vacuum.
