Angel, Badman and more cowboys!
This Vol4 and I bought it primarily 'cause of the low price. Delivery was quick - as usual. I'm VERY glad I got it as I was unaware of gems on this DVD. John Wayne plays an outlaw (unusual?) and is woulded in a bank robbery. a Quaker family takes him into their care & nurse him back to health by the family's beautiful daughter. JW's character begins to rethink of his violent past. Of course, he falls in love with her. . .but what happens next is the twist in the film. Roy Rogers was my favorite cowboy when growing up. In this film, 'The Senorita', he (as usual!) plays the good guy and tries to help Mary Lee keep her gold mine when bad guy John Hubbard tries to steal it. And of course, Roy starts singing. How the heck can a cowboy carry a guitar on his horse and start singing in the middle-of-nowhere? After all, it was 1940. The 3rd film 'The Old Corral' stars Gene Autrey as town sheriff. Unusual, as Mr Autrey is up against gangsters in Chicago! The film was made in 1936 and I guess reflecting Hollywood at the time. Completely improbable. As a passing note. if it wasn't for Gene Autry, Roy Rogers would probably not be known. If you're into the genre & like 'B' pictures, you'll like this.

How to make a movie buff happy
I have no great liking for westerns, and even less for John Wayne, but I bought my husband a bunch of these for Christmas and he was so happy. A recommended way to get peace and quiet over Christmas, at least among the men!
