Dosen't do very well nut to many different sizes

This item is much smaller than it appears in the pictures and is very lightweight and cheap. The materials and craftsmanship are substandard. It would probably crack and almond but thats about it. The seller is very confrontational about returns and makes it impossible to get a refund following their directions.

I purchased this unit to crack black walnuts. The information the company provided indicated that it would crack black walnuts however I do not think these people are not familiar with the hardness of black walnuts. I purchased the unit and ended up replacing the set screws with roll pins as the set screws would not hold tight. The hand shaft with nut is poorly machined and I ended up making a new shaft using a hardened bolt. Also, I placed some welds on the adjustable ramp to create catch points for the walnuts. After cracking walnuts for 30 minutes the frame where the adjustment bolt is for the ramp is located started to bend outward. I clamped it back in place and welded up the frame. During this process I sent several notes to the manufacture located in Istanbul Turkey with absolutely no response. Regardless of what they indicate about a money back guarantee and replacement parts in their literature there will be no follow-up after the sale. I am in the process of purchasing a different machine that will crack black walnuts.
