HydorTHEO 150 W Aquarium Turtle Tank Heater, Submersible, Anti-Thermal Shock, Shatterproof, with Graduated Scale and Suction Cups

I bought this to replace the Interpet heater supplied with the aquarium tank set I bought on Amazon. It has been operating for the last week and a half with absolutely no issues at all. Big benefit of this unit over other internal heaters is that it can be mounted horizontally, instead of diagonally like many others need to be installed. This means it can be fitted in a far more discreet position, obscured by the plants and other aquascaping decor. It's nicely designed from an engineering point of view- robust and relatively compact, and the tank water temperature has only varied by one degree, despite somewhat irregular room temperatures. The only downside is the stiffness of the temperature control knob, but I feel this is also reassuring as I believe it's due to the water tight internal seals. There has been no condensation fomed inside the heating tube which is also an indicator of its good quality. I shall update here in future if any problems form.

Different from pictures but it is what it is, a 300w heater took about average 20-22hours to bring the tank upto temp and is working well, aswith all heaters i just wish someone would bring one out with a longer power lead

Absolutely disgraceful, within 7 days leeched electricity into the tank and lost fish because of it, didnt have the box to return so binned, complete waste of money, avoid like the plague

The thermostat on 22c heats up the tank to 26c..which is too hot for tropical fish...unless you want fish and chips. Returned to amazon and now on the hunt for a decent accurate heater.

Bought two as well made and seem to be durable but keeping an eye on waht temperature they are set at vs what my tank gauge states it actually is?
