Spacious, but not especially durable
This bag is incredibly spacious, which when considering the sheer amount of equipment one must carry, is a boon. However, the immense weight can cause the straps on the backpack to tear, so caution must be taken.

Well designed (mostly), very poorly constructed.
I really like the *idea* of this bag, but it just does not hold up. It's definitely spacious (I've been able to pack it with Thai pads, 18oz gloves, all the training clothing i need, towel, etc, without opening the secondary compartment). I like that, in addition to the main compartment, there's a good sized insulated compartment (which can hold a 32 oz Gatorade and still have room for cliff bars, energy gel, whatever), another compartment for wallet, phone, whatever, and finally a pocket for sunglasses, etc. Long story short, there's a lot of space. The one design failure on this is the venting. It's great that the vents are there, but there's no way to close it so that your stuff doesn't get soaked if it's raining. My gi is soaked by the end of class, I don't need it to be soaked through before I even put it on. Same problem with the zip out duffel compartment. So, on rainy days, I have to swap my gear out into a completely different bag.But it just doesn't hold up. In a very short time since getting it, I've had to tape the handle up because it was unraveling. The lining in the insulated compartment has ripped in several places. The outer shell has ripped about a half inch away from the zipper, and that's just going to keep getting worse. I realize I stuff it pretty tight, and it gets thrown around, etc, but if you're going to make equipment for combat athletes, you should know it's going to get beat up on and build it accordingly (I have a similar issues with my Jaco compression shorts/cup combination). If not for the vent problem and the poor construction, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this. But considering how much it costs, and how soon I expect to have to replace it, it just isn't worth the money.

AVOID DO NOT BUY!!! CHEAPLY MADE!!! WILL WEAR OUT QUICK!
For all my MMA/BJJ people I just wanted to bring to everyone's attention a product I recently purchased that you should all avoid like the plague! about 6 months ago i paid about $130 for a vented Jaco Clothing bag.Within the first month and a half the inner part of the side compartments began to fall apart. Because I loved the design and size of the bag so much, I ignored this flaw and kept using the bag about 2-3 times a week (whenever I train). about a week ago the zipper on the laptop compartment totally broke while I was on the subway. Unfortunately I lost my ipad and the zipper is more or less done for. This means that because the way that the bag is designed it is unwearable.Today, I reached out to JACO and tried to have them at least exchange the bag for me. Apparently they don't believe in their product and where unwilling to do ANYTHING at all. They say because I did not purchase th bag directly from them that they wont do a damn thing even though it is clearly their product.A $130 should not be that banged up within 6 months of moderate use, and if it is the company who PRODUCED it, should own up imo. Bottom line, I just wanted to give you guys a warning, avoid Jaco, they clearly make cheap products and don't care about their customers. Personally I will never buy their products again and advise you all to do the same
