NOW Supplements, Black Currant Oil 1,000 mg with 140mg GLA, 100 Softgels

100% Recommend! This has quickly become one of my favorite supplements! It’s helped me effectively calm my eczema flare-ups, which was my main reason for trying it. As a bonus, I’ve also noticed my hair feeling stronger and healthier overall. Couldn’t be happier with the results!

I had severe menstrual cramps, to the point of being concerned about how I could live a normal life. Then, I after reading about how GLA could reduce menstrual cramps, I started this black currant oil about 2 weeks before my period and noticed that my severe cramps were under control with ibuprofen. I hope that it was not a fluke! 3 months later update: My severe menstrual cramps are GONE. It could be a combination of many factors: plant-based diet, high dietary fiber intake, exercise. But, I had implemented the dietary changes for about 6 months prior to starting the black currant oil. After I started the black currant oil, my severe cramps were gone. It didn't reduce the large amount of blood flow or the tiredness but (thank goodness!) the cramps were gone. I am beyond happy with this product and so very thankful that it is around! About a year later update: I thought I could try resveratrol in place of this thinking that it could do the same thing as well as other added health benefits but I was wrong! I truly think black currant oil has worked the best in reducing my severe menstrual cramps. I will never forgo my black currant oil again!

I bought this due to having Lasik and my doctor gave me supplements where this was the same main ingredient. It's helped my eyes, my Crohns, and my joints! This product is a godsend! It's easy to swallow. It's about the size of a fish oil pill so a little big (they look exactly the same), there's no taste or burps though, it's very effective!

These are a good alternative to Evening Primrose Oil. They are also very good quality. They arrive very quickly and had a good price.

Am taking Black Current Oil for regenerating head hair growth (as a senior-aged female.). I am pairing it with Pumpkin Seed Oil (: NOW’s 1000 mg.) Have based my decision for these Two Oils from many others’ reviews of various male & gender-neutral supplements. These two, per reviews, seem to Not Promote male-facial hair for females. I have found that spacing out to one capsule of each every 4th Day♦️ - limits the normally occurring facial hairs - and my head hair is vital & full. I have taken other supplements (collagen …) off & on for 6 years & used various hair shampoos - so do suggest these Two Oils to be in addition to other Healthy Hair options !!! ♦️ Edit - 7/21/25 ♦️ I changed some months ago to an increase in This B’ C’ Oil to Every Other Day. I have Not seen any problematic increase in facial hair in doing so.

I am amazed by this supplement!! I am a 32 year old woman who was experiencing the most intense amount of hair shedding over the past 4-5 months. I would probably lose 300+ hairs a day. Washing and brushing my hair became something I really dreaded doing. I was getting very noticeable thin spots along my hairline. I tried many things, roagaine, special shampoo, biotin, and nothing even remotely came close to slowing down my hair loss. I read lots of information about how black current seed oil can help hair loss. Within 3 days of taking two of these a day, my hair dramatically decreased in shedding. Every day I continue to be amazed!! I went from losing 150+ hairs every time I washed and 100+ every time I brushed, to now losing maybe 2 when I brush and losing maybe 10 hairs when I wash my hair. I am beyond thrilled and completely amazed! I feel like these have definitely been a miracle for me!!! I'm telling everyone I know about how well these worked! If you're experiencing intense shedding/hair loss, give these a try!!

This is #1 on AMAZON but it is *not* the best black currant oil for people with real health problems. I have dry eye, used this for years. It definitely helped some. But I tried the Vitamin Shoppe brand, which is much more potent, and my eyes did much better--closest to normal they've ever been. PMS got better as well (and I'm in my 40s). NOW products work at about 30% of what better brands work at. So you will get something from them. But please understand you're not saving as much money as you think. Like with the Vitamin Shoppe brand I can take 1,000 mg and it does more than NOW at 3,000 mg. If you have some serious health condition, I do not recommend this brand. I recommend going with a higher quality brand, even if it cost more. I gave this 5 stars so that it would be visible.

The size is ridiculously huge. Try not to choke myself every time I swallow it.

Even though it is hexane extracted, it still works on the body (for inflammation). Still, you should go look for a non-hexane extracted one

ブラックカラント＝カシス ということでテレビで体臭改善効果が期待できると言ってたのでカシスの名のついた商品名が売り切れの時にこちらを選んでみました。 2回リピートして飲んでたけど体臭改善効果はよくわからず。 でも白髪は減った感覚がかなりあります。白髪についてはテレビでは特に効果があるとは言ってなかったけど個人輸入のショッピングサイトのレビューで海外のユーザーが白髪に効果があった！と絶賛してたのでたぶん期待できるかと思います。ストレスのない生活をしてたのもあるけどあったはずの白髪が確実に減ってました。これだけでも飲む価値ありと感じてます。 目にいいイメージもあるけどそれもいまいちわからなかった。 ドライアイが乾きにくくはなったかな？でも目を酷使して老眼ぽくなってきた感じがするのでピント調整には効果無しな感じがしました。 iHERBやオオサカ堂…など海外個人輸入ショッピングサイトでサプリを買ったことがある人なら発送の遅さは許容範囲かなと思います。ナウフーズの商品はiHERBでたまに購入してたので届くまでの体感はいつも通りでそういうものかと思っているので特にストレスはなかったです。 到着までだいたい2週間前後かかる(コロナ遅延やロングタイム休暇、ブラックフライデーを挟むとか年末年始とか状況によってはもっとかかる時もあるかも。年中無理してでもお客様に合わせすぎてる日本の都合で考えない方がいい)ので待てる人向け。 急ぎで到着するAmazonのシステムに魅力を感じて国内即日発送に慣れている人はprime表示のある商品を選ぶのが賢明かと思います。 ナウフーズのものは日本のサプリより圧倒的に含有量が多いし添加物で総重量を誤魔化さない感じがして好きなので到着まで1ヶ月を見込んで買ってます。 リピートしてたのがなくなったので今回は一旦ブルベリアイで有名な某社のカシスを買ってみました。そっちと比べてやっぱりナウフーズの方がよかったなーと感じたらまた買いにきます。 ちなみに購入代金 1回目2300、2回目2400、いまは2700円台でちょっと値上がりが過ぎますね。 戦争などの影響で輸送費高騰と円安の影響もあるとは思いますが半年くらいで変動幅がすごいです。 テレビの影響もあるのかな。 あまり値上がりがひどいならいまは日本の企業のを選んでまた安い時に買えたらなと思います。
