Sennheiser PC 26 Call Control USB Single-Sided Headset

Straight out of the box I'm not overly impressed. Sound quality is reasonably good. I find the headset uncomfortably tight and I have a smaller head (based on hats that are too big). The mute is not lit in any way and the symbols for on/off mute are small and dark so it's difficult to tell without bringing it up to your face. I would much prefer a visual light indicating mute is on - you don't want to get this wrong. The control has a wheel on the side for volume control, a switch for on/off mute and apparently a button to answer calls (it's not immediately obvious what the button is for). There is no alligator clip for attaching the cord to your shirt, which means you'll fumble for the control when you most need to get it into mute and then you'll fumble with the mute switch. Thankfully I don't need to wear this all day.

Not high grade build but not shabby either. Sound quality seems good. I can hear the other party just fine and have not had any complaints from the other end too so they seem to be picking me up just fine even with noise around me.

Software is somewhat a joke. The headset is left-ear ONLY. Gee, Sennheiser, would it have been too much to be able to use it on either side?

I bought this to use when teaching online classes. I needed something with a good sensitive mic that would work well with our web conferencing software. I had been using an older headset that had audio jacks, but wanted to move to a USB set because it would be compatible with more devices.This has excellent sound quality both when listening and in the ability of the mic to pick up my speech and quality of the sound transmitted. Since I switched to this headset my students have said that they can hear me better. This is just made of plastic, so I will see how sturdy it is over time, but so far no problems. This only works for the left ear, so if you are looking for a one sided headset that could be used on either ear this is not for you. It has a very long cord, so I can stand and walk around a little with this on, which is very convenient. Overall I am very satisfied with this for both web conferencing and for dictation using Dragon Naturally Speaking.

Works but was extremely uncomfortable. Looking for an option for our receptionist and there's no way they could wear this all day long. Too tight.

I've used the Sennheiser PC26 for 3 days now and am very happy with my purchase. I work from home using an IP Softphone so my headset is on the entire work day. I also facilitate 5-6 conference calls a week. Comfort and audio quality are very important to me and with this unit, I get both.The entire purchase experience was wonderful! The order came as promised, was packaged so well -- I did not have to fight with the hard plastic case as it was held securely by a rubber thing (for lack of a better description) that was easily removed. Typically, packaging for electronics is a nightmare. The package contained useful information and a brochure about additional offerings, a label to affix to the headset in case you need to know how to get support, and, to my delight, a stash of mini-Tootsie rolls! What a nice surprise!

Its a good quality sounding headset. You cannot adjust to use on right ear - it's only for the left side.

You can only adjust the headset length on one side. So if you have a large head like I do it will not be an ideal fit. When I put the headset on the adjustable side is bending a little and I'm afraid it might break in the future. Other than that the headset is pretty much perfect. If Sennheiser ever updates these in the future they should make both sides adjustable so you can have a better fit for all head sizes.

This unit comes with theoretical 2 year warranty. Mine broke in 9 months of minimal use. Volume control/mute stopped working. I paid $11 to ship broken unit back to Sennheiser Canada, they sent me cheaper model withOUT volume/mute control. I wasted 8 phone calls to them and Amazon. Made of CHEAP plastic. Forget it! I will never buy a Sennheiser ANYTHING again. Total waste of my time and energy.

Lightweight, works great for taking customer calls. Highly recommended!

These work flawlessly with my Mac and several people have commented on the high sound quality.
