The Manufacturers need to read this
I have NOT purchased this item yet but felt that I must leave a review which can be useful for the manufacturers as well. Firstly, I find it really, really amazing why most, if not all, kitchen timers do not have voice activated feature. You don't want to pick up germs touching buttons and if your fingers are all covered with dough, then that's out of the question anyway. I also tried to search for such a product on other websites competing with Amazon but to my utter amazement, there is not much available. The mismatch between Supply and Demand is so unrealistic that it makes me feel I am having a dream (or a mild nightmare, more like!). Anyhow, I do hope this manufacturer will capitalize on being early in this design and quickly address the shortcomings users are complaining about. Low Price is critical so simplicity of design can be offered as one variant. But, I would have thought most people wouldn't mind paying an extra few pounds/ dollars (may be up to extra $5 or so) for a rechargeable battery based product. An optional single 110dB bleep (repeated every 10 seconds) would be needed for many who can't possibly afford to face the trauma of spoiling an evening meal 🙂. Finally, the USB C port with both genders option is an Ace card! Get in touch with me if you want electronic design help. This is my area of expertise. Thank you for reading.

Not Rechargeable
Totally misleading product description. Does not charge up, so has to be permanently connected to a USB-C power source. Hence, it is not rechargeable.

Useless alarm
Total rubbish, does not charge up, so has to be permanently connected to a USB-C power source. The alarm is not lo loud and the fact it only sounds for 8 seconds make it easy to miss the alarm unless stood right next to it. This is heading back to Amazon

Nice effect
This is perfect for what I wanted. I wanted a small timer that I could use on my desk and this is simple and quick to use and even looks quite stylish, And there's voice control. It seems reasonably loud, and just as loud as many cheap digital timers I have used in the kitchen (in my kitchen I have a more expensive timer - that is extremely loud and I can hear it from almost anywhere in the house). There are cheaper timers (mechanical) available, but I like this one as it is small, compact and stylish, and easy to set . . . if you wish.

This unit is incredibly small and gets its power from a USB-C connector which is truly very impressive! See my picture with this unit right next to a USA quarter and dime to get persective on its size. It can time from 1 minute up to 240 minutes (4 hours), within certain limitations (explained later). The built-in speaker, although not super loud, is audible enough as long as you're within about 75 feet of the unit and there's not a lot of noise. You activate and program the unit using your voice. It does pick up commands well, even with some background noise. It certainly would be helpful to have the timer's volume louder. But, with the unit being so small, it would probably add too much cost to implement, so it's an acceptable tradeoff to me. This timer would be great to use as a timer attached to your laptop's USB-C port while you work, being easy to hear being so close. However, the verbal commands one must use to program this timer are at best, confusing and at worse, almost unusable. After you verbally "wake-up" the unit, the timer can be set for any time from 1 to 30 minutes in one minute increments. But if you want to time anything longer than 30 minutes, you can only set the timer in increments of 5 minutes. So you can set the timer for 30 minutes, or 35 minutes or 40 minutes... up to 240 minutes. This results in many time periods that you cannot set. For example, if you wanted to set the timer for 57 minutes, nope. How about 33 minutes? Nope. What about 158 minutes? No. Understand that this unit is very small, and the processing power is limited, so this is a trade-off, keeping the unit simpler to manufacture and cheaper for you. Certainly at the sales price, this unit is a bargain, but again, with some major limitations. To be honest, I find it more of a tech display/tech gadget than being truly useful. It's a great first iteration but does need work. One final thought... The commands to set the timer are (speak these words): "TIMING x MINUTE", where 'x' is the minutes you want to set. As an example, to set the timer for 120 minutes (2 hours) you would say: "TIMING ONE HUNDRED TWENTY MINUTE". As you can see, this is incorrect English as the word "minute" should actually be "minutes". Also, it is awkward to say "Timing 120 minute". It would be much better to say something like "Set timer for 120 minutes" or "Start 120 minute timer". That could hopefully be fixed in another iteration of this timer. I like to play around with the unit by awakening it (with no timer set) and then saying "Cancel timer". The unit then responds, "Master, you have not set it already!". Another awkward English translation. But, I get a kick being called "master" from a tiny cube and that brings a smile to my face! All in all, this does work as a timer with some limitations, so I rate it a 3 out of 5. If you like techy gadgets and would like to be called "master", then this is for you! Otherwise, I suggest waiting until the manufacturer makes some needed changes to make this timer easier to use and more functional as a timer.

This little timer is very handy. It takes up no real space, it’s inconspicuous & helpful. Very handy for when I am already using my phone timer- which happens regularly. The price is easy as well.

If you have a spare USB C cell phone charger, you can turn it into an AI based timer. This tiny computer listens to your voice commands, and also responds with voice announcements. The test was our kitchen counter. I found it ideal for cooking when my hands were full, wet, or sticky. First plugging the timer into power, it responded “Welcome to the AI timer, please say Hi Coco to wake me up”. The timer just sits there dormant until it hears the command “Hi Coco”. Waking up, It responds, “I am here”, with a bright green glow awaiting further instruction. For a three minute egg say “Timing three minutes”. The time responds “three minute timer”, and that’s it. When the time is up Coco will beep, and flash a red glow, about 8 times. If you make a mistake just say “Cancel timer”. The response is “Timer canceled”, and the green light goes out. Coco doesn’t do seconds, or hours. All time must be set in minutes. 30 minutes or less you can set the time in one minute intervals. Past 30 Minutes it sets the time in 5 minute intervals up to 240 minutes. Currently it only understands commands in English, and only responds in English, but was tolerant of accents. Speaker is very soft and the volume is not adjustable. The microphone is extremely sensitive and had no problem working across kitchen into dining room. More accurate then those hourglass sand timers, or mechanical wind ups. Kids helping in the kitchen found it perfectly natural to talk to Coco, the grandparents are still catching up. Also worked from the USB C port on my MacBook but the Mac has a Siri AI if you need a timer.

I could go on and on about this product but I’m going to just stick to the fax and keep it shorter than I probably should. First and foremost if you look at the first couple of stock pictures like I do you assume like me it is about the size of a thermostat, or maybe a little smaller than a square coaster. However, this is not the case it is the same size maybe a tad bigger than a quarter yes I am referring to a US currency corner. As you can see from the picture I took it is ridiculously small, upon receiving it once I actually found it in the box we noticed the C charger port was shaky when you touch it. You could take it with your two fingers and toggle it up and down and around it is just very loose, and you guessed it once we plugged it in it absolutely does not work. We tried all the troubleshooting, it just does not work and it is just a bad product!! I honestly thought this was gonna be such an awesome product for my wife who is constantly setting timers, but it’s not even worth it to me to send this back and ask for another one. So disappointed in the size, so disappointed that it was rattling around in the box it is just basically like someone opened the box and tossed in without a care in the world. If I could give this a negative I would, speaking of if not the worst product I have ever bought on Amazon and I didn’t even try it.

This is a prime example of why you should always read the information about a product before ordering. I got this because the voice control was such an appealing feature. So many times your hands are covered in a food like bread dough or raw meat and you need to set a timer. So having a voice controlled timer for these times is highly needed. So here I got this and it's sooo tiny. Definitely not what I expected. Ok so I roll with it. Inside the package was the instructions that basically don't tell you much and you need a magnifying glass. It doesn't charge so it has to be plugged in to work. The only problem with that is it only plugs into my cell phone. I don't have a plug like they show in the picture. And my charger blocks are for the USB end of the cord not the "c" end. So plugging into my cell is the only option. Weird but ok. Once plugged in it lights up a bright green and says a welcome message. Then you say Hi, Coco 20 minutes. It doesn't acknowledge you, wont let you say anything but the number of minutes you want, it doesn't let you know its set. You can't ask it how much longer on the timer. You can't see a countdown. And to top it all off no matter how many minutes I or the hubby try to say a time, it sets it at 2 or 8 minutes. When the timer goes off it beeps and the green turns to a flashing red. 1 star because it activates when you say hi coco but other than that is too expensive for such a cheap product.
