When on the search for headphones the constant question one asks: where can I try these on? Well, unfortunately you cannot try these on in stores just yet, so you'll just have to listen to what I have to say about them.Overall, when I first got these I had some concerns, namely the $300 price tag. After listening to reviews I decided to give them a try.So if you have been to Best Buy recently to try on headphones I'll give you a comparison that will help you understand what the Soul experience is about.Beats studio are around the same price. They offer similar comfort and feel around the ears, but the headband puts more pressure on your head since there is no cushioning. The souls win in comfort because they are lighter and less intrusive, after a while you forget you are wearing them. The sound on the Soul's is also more balanced and controlled. The beats focus on bass, which while good for rap and hip-hop can get out of control when listening to songs that are already heavy in bass.Bose quiet comfort 15 are the best headphones for noise cancellation on the market, no doubt about that. They are also lighter and have less emphasis on base but offer crisp, clear sound that is impressive, but not out of this world. If I were listening to classical music all day, I'd probably go for the Bose. The reason I did not choose them is because the active noise cancelling comes with a price; that an awkward pressure in your head that makes you feel as if you are on an airplane after a while. I have sensitive ears so it is worse for me, but if you do not then they are great for being quiet. They are lighter but I don't find them any more comfortable. For rap and hip/hop I am happy I got the souls because they are still good at noise cancelling and provide a nice bass that is not overwhelming. They are even good for classical listening once in a while.Bose offers an AE2 model that is around $130. These are the most comfortable headphones I have ever tried on; for their lightness and around the ear feel. But there sound quality isn't up to par and there is no noise cancelling. So if you don't want a $300 price tag, I would give these a try at your local best buy if your main concern is price and comfort over bass and noise cancelling.SL150 headphones are $100 less than the SL300. I have not tried them on and people compare them to the beats solo hd. I have tried the solo hd and I personally find them uncomfortable because I hate headphones that just sit awkwardly on your ears. If you are gonna spend money on headphones, I suggest over the ear even though there a bit bigger but they provide comfort in the long run which if your spending this kind of money is important. Otherwise, in 10 minutes your gonna be annoyed. You want headphones that offer a balance of features so that you can forget they are on. The SL300 are a prime example of balance between all features you want in an over the ear noise cancelling headphone. They are not perfect, and if you are that sensitive about headphones you probably have multiple pairs already.Complaints: The sl300 tend to leak sound. It is not terrible but if you are in a a library or quiet room and put the volume over halfway your neighbor from 10 feet away can probably hear you. That being said, I listen to these at the lowest volume possible and they are plenty loud in quiet spaces, no need to blow out your ears. I would also not suggest walking around with them as they tend to shuffle on your head with each step. They feel comfortable enough around the neck when walking where you have full motion of your head and they look stylish. Especially in low light when the LED lights on the side are enabled.highlights: comfort is the number one thing, they put me to sleep when I lie in bed and listen to music. They are great for being all around in sound quality, balanced in bass, and noise cancelling. Even with the battery disabled you notice a difference in outside noise because of their fit around your ears. Audiophiles will probably disregard any celebrity endorsed headphones and I would have too until I experienced these for myself. They win over the beats in price and performance. There is no perfect headphone, remember that in your search. But if you want something that has style I would recommend you give the Ludacris SL300 a shot. After a day of listening to this it pains me to go back to lesser quality headphones.Performance: 9.5comfort: 9.5Value: 9Style: 10On the last note, if you are deciding on these or beats, get these. Unless you want your head to vibrate get the beats. If you are dead set on getting beats, get the studios, because I actually like those. I think the sl300 are much better but the studios are pretty comfortable. The solo hd I would never wear, consider the sl150 before or go with audio-technica.Again, if you want portable, studio quality headphones that are all around good, get the souls you won't complain when you listen to them and compare to other products. They actually stand out, if only they were in stores and people could compare them side by side most people would make the switch and realize the faults in the beats by dre that are hidden by a name.

Hey there , just wanted to say that these soul by ludacris SL300 headphones are really good compared to my beats by dre studios , i did a comparison between them , (the latest beats by dre studios model with the tougher headband) and the sound quality of the souls SL300 still beats the studios , first off , the Sound quality of the SL300 are pretty balanced , the bass packs a punch but its pretty tight so it doesnt wash out the highs and mids , whereas on the beats studios the bass is pretty overwhelming , though the highs and mids are still pretty good but the bass is just too strong and tends to wash out a little amount of the highs and mids at times . Note that while testing both the headphones the EQ was set as off and sound check was on. secondly , the sl300 doesnt need battery to run , though the volume and bass of the music will drop ( though not significantly) but it still works well and except for the weaker bass and softer volume. When the SL300 are turned off i didnt even noticed the headphones was off until i found that it was too soft after awhile! thirdly , the noise cancellation between the studios and SL300 , the SL300 noise cancellation is MUCH better than the studios , the studios noise cancellation might be only 1/3 of what noise the SL300 cancelled! its really significant and when you put on both headphones without music but turned on and try to talk you can hear a difference! Last but not least , these souls SL300 are really much durable compared to the studios even though both are made of plastic , for example , when you shake the studios it feels pretty flimsy even for the newer version of the studios , as for the souls SL300 they still shake but it doesn't fling around as much as the studios which means the plastic is more firm on the SL300! So i definitely recommend this more to the beats by dre studios , oh and FYI , i know sound quality , i own the UE triplefi10 and westone 4's , of course these beat the SL300 in terms of high and mids , but not lows (obviously) but all in all its worth to buy these headphones for looks + sound quality!

音漏れは結構あるが、自宅専用なら気にならない。イヤホンと違い臨場感あって凄く良い。音質はよくわからないが、低中高音バランス良い。音質はスマホのイコライザーでなんとでもなる。iPhoneケーブルは何故かiPhoneで機能せずAndroid端末で停止再生だけ反応した。これはよくわからないが、とりあえず気に入りました。

▲スト▲で購入したable planetのノイズキャンセリングヘッドホンがご臨終になったので購入。専門知識はありませんが、開封～丸一日使用したレビューを下記します。何かの参考になれば。。。○非常に当たりがソフト。しかしシッカリとホールド。○ハードケースなので保管や持ち運びに困りません。●本体は折りたためますが、コンパクトではありません。●ピンの”付け根”が細くないと、本体に嵌らない。　他社ケーブルの流用には注意下さい。○低音が強く感じますが、かといって高音がチープというわけではなく　音の遠近といった点でも表現力があると感じます。●音漏れ注意。　適切な音量のまま、耳から外して首に引っ掛けた状態でも、　屋内では聞き取れる位なので、装着はしっかりと。　○ノイズキャンセリングonでも、独特の音はほぼ皆無です。　電車のアナウンスや女性の声などは聞き取れない程度に耳に入ってくる印象。●屋外、特に風の強い場所でノイズキャンセルonだと、逆にノイズ・振動が発生します。　（グッと耳に押し付けると改善しましたが・・・）●スイッチの動きが渋い。（）爪で引っ掛ける感じなので周辺を傷つけそう。
