It works OK but needs some polish
It works OK but needs some polishThe iPieces are instantly recognized by the screen, but there are some funny things in the app, for instance, it does not give clues on where to land the ladder only where it starts but not where it ends.Beside all that, my Daughter and I had great fun with it, so that why is OK.

App doesn't work
The included app simply does not work unless you close all of your apps and go directly to play. If you have another app running or if you go to the help page first, the app will promptly crash before letting you play. The pieces themselves kinda sorta are recognized by the iPad, but are not strictly needed to play the app (if you can get the app to run). Any token you have lying around your house would do. So overall, this is a waste of money and should not be purchased.

It looks like it advertises that you can also place the snakes on the board which is why I originally purchased it but it is not what I expected

Doesn't hold their attention . . .
There's really nothing bad to say about this game, it's cute, but it doesn't hold the attention of the kids very long. It's sitting on the shelf like the other games similar to it.
