Nunn BushMen's Portage Slip-on Loafer

Let me start by saying that this shoe has been a favorite of mine for over 5 years now. The shoe is a loafer style with a nice all terrain tread. I walk in these shoes all day long and they feel great from morning to the evening. The shoe is made of leather and the insole has a gel heel strike. The bottom of the shoe is an all terrain sole and wears well. The insole is removable, however when I replaced the insole (tried 3 brands) the feel just did not feel the same, so I always end up purchasing a new pair.When you first purchase this shoe, it may feel snug. However, give it a couple days to form around your foot and allow the leather relax around the toe box. Once, they are formed around you, they feel like slippers. I would suggest they are water repellent for dew, light rain, and puddles, so they must have a mild repellent on them from the manufacturer. I purchased a separate water proof leather wax and applied it to the stitching, toe box and heel area. This shoe has been amazing in all conditions. I am currently wearing them in the summer and my feet do not feel hot. Overall, this is a "definite" buy. These shoes do go on sale every once in awhile for around mid $50's, os if they price is a little high for your consideration, let me say that they are worth the money in both cases. Cons: After several pairs of these over the years, I have found that the neoprene/spandex (black area by the ankle) {see product picture} begins to rip or tear open. I think the stitching fails or just normal from pulling on of the shoe. In any case, its not right away but is always the first place to fail. Other than that, I cannot think of any other concerns to report. Great buy!

What can I say, it’s a shoe. It fits well and is comfortable. I like the style and it’s of decent quality at reasonable price. This is my 3rd pair and I’ll most likely buy another when this one wears out.

These shoes were bought to replace a VERY old pair of my husband's favorite shoes, that should have long ago been retired. We picked "Prairie Beige" because he wanted a lighter, golden brown which is what the picture looks like. Although the box verifies that this shoe is "Prairie Beige", it is not the same color as depicted here(and we looked at the color at work and 2 computers at home, all looked the same, light brown). They look more like the "Tumbled Brown" but not quite...to make a long story a little shorter, they are darker and do not resemble the color in the picture AT ALL. He says, however, that they are very comfortable, cushiony and true to size and he doesn't want to return them because he needed them for a trip later this month.Comfort will always win out over color(especially with him) and the color isn't bad, just not what we ordered or were expecting.I would have given them 5 stars if it was a rating for comfort alone.

These shoes are super comfortable, and although I often do not like to wear slip-ons a lot, I like to wear these because of the elasticity of the top of the shoe that helps keep it a little snug. The tread pattern also wears very evenly, so I don't have to replace them as often as some shoes. They look great with jeansUpdate: after several years the shoes finally wore through on the heel and I had to order a new pair. I ordered my new pair one half size smaller and they are just perfect. The shoes do tend to stretch some after you wear them and that's why you have to order a half size smaller than your normal size. One of the things that makes issue is that the tread on the bottom is very heavy. This means that you can wear them for years before having to replace them. I am showing copies of before and after of the treadwear so people can see what I'm talking about.

2nd time I purchased for my spouse. He loves the shoe and he wore out his first pair as he wore them daily for work as he was on his feet most of the day when he worked. He says they are very comfortable, good fit and fair price for the design.

I like the look and comfort of these shoes, my first pair lasted about a year or year and a half before they started hurting my feet with extended wear. I am 6'4" and weigh about 300 pounds so I don't expect them to last forever.The cushion had been smashed out of them, now I wear the old ones if I need a quick slip on to go to the garage. I wear the new ones to work, they are comfortable and look good with blue jeans or Khaki's. I originally bought these for travel, easy to get on and off at the airport. If this pairs lasts as long as the first I'll be back for another pair.

I had a pair of these and they finally wore out.. I could not find them at the stores anymore.. and could not find them anywhere online for a fee months.. I had worn them daily.. after a long day of being at work in dress shoes.. these were perfect! Then one day I finally found them on Amazon.. I bought 2 pairs! Still in the process of breaking them in.. but I love them! If you are looking for a comfortable shoe that you can wear all day.. every day.. these are them.. seriously..

Require s break-in...Tight to get foot in,best to use shoe horn.Once foot is in it fits very well..

Usually a pair will last up to two years.

This is a replacement of one I bought two years ago. It is durable for sure. However, this pair, which is half size bigger and supposedly wider, I had sore feet with sole inserts. This pair seemed to be a bit shallower than the older pair. Not sure why. I hope that after some use, it will settle down and make it more comfortable and able to put back on the sole inserts.

Great shoe but because I have a high arch I shoe did not open enough to get my foot in.

Excellent walking shoe.
