It works well
I purchased the TruContain garage floor containment map , model CM7916, at Amazon last August (February now in snowy mid-Michigan). I really like it. I used to "carpet" the garage floor with cardboard each fall and remove the soggy mess each spring. But cardboard has gotten expensive so I can't get free refrigerator boxes any more because appliances are shipped with styrofoam and shrink-wrapped.There are two options given for emptying the mat. 1. Use a shop vac. 2 Use the floor squeegee that comes with the mat. I have both available, but opted for the squeegee. With the vac, I'd have to change to the wet filter, empty and clean it when done, and maintain the filter.Start to finish it took me 25 minutes to back out the car, pull the mat to the edge of the garage, squeegee the water, mop up the dirt using an old beach towel (rag quality), reposition the mat, and drive the car into the garage. In good weather I'll pull the mat out onto the driveway and wash it with a bucket of dishwater. Some people roll it up for the summer. I plan to leave it up year round. It keeps the floor much cleaner.Reviewers on Amazon complain because the wrinkles never go away. I think that helps when it's full of water so it doesn't form one huge puddle and overflow the edge. The wrinkles don't bother me. My car is in the garage on top of the mat so they don't show, and I'm not inviting interior designers over to critique he garage.A few reviewers complained that the mat moved excessively. I've had it "wrinkle" twice. It happens when I turn the wheel to position the car on the mat as I drive in. It doesn't happen if I line up before entering the garage and just idle in.If you get one, use the recommended size. If it's too wide you'll be stepping into water to get into and out of the car. Also the squeegee doesn't come with a handle. I suggest a wood handle so the squeegee can be secured with a screw as well as with the adjustable fitting at the top of the squeegee.

Loved the timely customer service with delivery and answering installation question.
Excellent service. Arrived on time. Unrolled it inside for 5 days to get some creases out. Heavy material. Sturdy sides. Called the company with the phone number listed on Amazon this Saturday morning and got quick info about what side to put facing down. (Thank you, Tammy.) Recommended: The smooth side is slipperier so put it down so the duller side is up and there is less chance of slipping when walking on it. We'd have gotten it wrong and put the smooth side up since it l looked easier to clean. The squeegee that came with it is a softer, wider material than the squeegees we have and looks like it will work well plus it has an attached clamp with a screw which is nice since none of our other squeegee heads came with a such convenient fastener. We will unroll it, use it, clean it, store it in the spring, and report back later.

I have a flat garage floor and the water from the melted snow on the cars would puddle against the wall. Since I got these mats, I have had no water on the floor. They seem to be made of high quality material. I have not been able to get the wrinkles out of them. I think because they are cold. But the wrinkles don't seem to affect their ability to keep the water of the floor. I would buy them again.

Perfect for protecting everything in your garage from mud, snow & rain!
This worked so well that we bought a second one! We live in the mountains in Colorado and have many months of parking cars in our garage with snow and mud on the tires and car. Does an amazing job trapping the moisture so that our garage doesn't get trashed!

Worth the price. Thick and durable
THESE WORK AWESOME! There are cheaper ones but reviews reflected that cheaper wasn't better. You want to pay a but more for the heavier, more durable plastic material. Does exactly what they are supposed to do. I am so happy I bought these as I have a dry garage this year. Hols a lot of melted snow and mud. Comes with sticky velcro adhesive patches but I don't have a sealed floor so i additional bought the recommended double sided industrial sticky tape and it really secured these to the floor.Pull in and let the ice and snow melt. Then pull out and the Included squeegee that you mound to any broom handle,(can put on opposite end of push broom) and push all water out or use a wet dry vac. Then drive back into the tray. Assembing: just unfold and lay out on pre-cleaned, moped , then thoroughly dried surface, ( I just looked at my existing tire tracks to mark where they go) and place it out to unwrinkle. Then I put sticky vecro pads in place and let plastic further "relax" and smoothed out wrinkles for a few days. My first one I didn't do this, 2nd one laided out better so have patience and let fold lines smooth out. I did it myself but have a 2nd person help you very slightly stretch and pull it but not too much because you don't want tension wrinkles either. Use squeegie to smooth out too. Get in place and then adhere to floor. You will be impressed with how much water and mud these hold. You literally can have a shallow pond with how much these hold. Super impressed with these . The edges are a foam poles thread into long pockets so you can drive over without issue. Just drive perfectly in middle and make sure you aren't on the foam pole edges as water may escape but I have never encountered that issue and I never drive in straight into my garage. Get larger size if an SUV to give yourself a bigger area but my Volvo xc60 has a good foot and half on each side and 3 -4 feet extra for front and back and I got the 2nd largest size. For a compact car and small SUV, the smallest size will work.

A solid option for containing slush in the winter
This mat seems to be of high quality and absolutely does the job of containing winter slush. I have a few quibbles which are:1) It can get very slippery when wet -- I'd like to see a future version of this with some texture applied.2) Because of the raised foam edges it doesn't lay completely flat and smooth.3) The raised foam edges it make it tougher to squeegee off. I've had to drag it partially out of the garage and fold under one end to clear it off..

Does the trick but...
...we have had two of these in our garage now for a couple of months. They do collect the water and dirt so mission accomplished. However, they are very wrinkled and do not lie flat on the floor. I have had them, as per the instructions, in the warm house for a couple of days, before rolling them out in the garage. Still, the whole things is very uneven and wrinkly and not ideal. For the money they cost, I would not buy them again.

Good product!
It does what it supposed to do. I wish it didnt have wrinkles in it, It would be much easier to squeegee the water away with out the wrinkles. But it keeps the floor dry!

Very Concerned about Punctures
Seems like a good product but a small puncture appeared a few weeks ago after receiving the product. A lot of water leaks through this and collects in the lowest corner of the garage. The hole is a small asymmetrical puncture like that created by a small rock. I suppose snow tires can attract small rocks especially when roads are sanded. Now trying to figure out how to repair the hole.

Great solution but forever kinks, ridges.
With any house there are always surprises. Living in Northern BC means we get a Lot of snow. This year during an early wet heavy accumulation my wife came home with a car coverered in many pounds of wet snow. It melted and to our surprise all went to the back of the garage flooding the dog area with an inch of water over a 5x10 area. Dog beds were soaked. I then got computer Matt's which helps but the water still was an issue. This matt completely resolved the problem and is a great solution. I will however tell you that the kinks and lines will never in my month of experience go away. We have in floor radiant heating and keep our garage quite warm for the dogs. We laid the Matt our with weights keeping it stretched for a week. It hardly had lines during this period and with in floor heating being trapped by the tarp it was quite warm(probly 25 degrees as the garage is kept at 18). When removing the weighed it bounced right back. It's a non issue as the water evaporates quickly with the heated floors. I would however have rather paid an extra 50 for increased shipping had this come as a long roll, which would have eliminated the lines put in by right packaging. A second option would be to ship this with carpet tape, velcro, a spray adhesive, and something to remove the adhesive in the spring. Get us thru the first season and we can figure it out for the next season.

this item is not suited to the AB climate,I kept it indoors for three days before I unroled it in my garage that I had heated with a propane heater for four hours but there was no way I could get rid of the creases ,I now have to drive my car over the creases and am afraid I am doing some harm to the mat, it will be I think July before my garage floor is warm enough to get the creases out if ever I would imagine in a warmer climate it would do the job but in AB I wonder.
