KEEN Men's Citizen Low Waterproof Shoe

I love keen shoes to work in. But their sizing is never consistent. The different styles are completely different in sizing . I have one pair in 9 and one pair in 9.5. These Keen Citizen Low WP run VERY small and I had to get a 10.5 when I normally wear a size 9.But I love the shoes. Once you get the right size they are comfortable, have good support and are waterproof.

I've had seven other pairs of Keens. This one fits differently. (A word about size later.)It's clear the low Citizen is built on a different last. The toe box is less roomy. It's narrower. The footbed lacks the arch support present in my others. (They are removable, however, so I'm experimenting with swapping-in the footbeds from the Austins I'm retiring. I notice that improves the crowded toebox too. And maybe it's because my old footbed is crushed that the lower ride makes the shoes more comfortable all around.)Now to address the fit: I would say that even given the above notes, the fit is mostly "as expected". Heeding the cautions about size in customer comments, I initially ordered a half-size larger than mine. Putting them on I knew instantly they'd be going back; it felt like when I was a kid, trying on my dad's shoes. The widest part of my foot didn't reach the widest part of the shoe. My longest toe was short of the rubber box. So back they went. (More about that later.)When the replacement arrived (in my true size) I knew I'd be keeping them, though aspects of their fit are inferior. I'm saying they fit true-to-size because the widest part of my foot now lines up with the widest part of the shoe. HOWEVER, my toes are more cramped than in any other of my Keens (including the canvas sneakers in a half-size smaller) and without the stability of the archier insole, my longest toe even hits the end of the shoe. I hope some nail management is all that will be needed to fix that (it only happens on the bigger foot).In summary, design differences make the Citizen's size and fit something of a mixed bag.I said I'd talk about the return. Super easy. The request was a breeze and the local drop-off convenient. Delivery of the exchange was hasty too. My satisfaction with Amazon's fulfillment is extremely high.But if my ninth pair of Keens doesn't restore the roominess of the classic fit I loved, it may sadly be my last.

This is my umpteenth pair of Keens, used to be 12, now mostly 13 - feet spread given the chance. This time I bought 14 as I now need the extra width that size provides. The build is awesome and the actual width wider than I expected. The toe shape is better than most, (thank you Keen!) it has now a more natural contour, see attached picture. This shoe is heavier than pix suggest with a sturdy sole, but very comfy to wear from the onset, needing a little wearing in time (not breaking in) - or getting used to time - unlike older models, probably due to the sturdy sole. Oh, and they don't look as large as older models do in my size. The wearer view from above is now balanced, not extended, I love them!I have now also ordered the boots, also 14!

Bought these for work shoes, and didn't even walk 15' before taking them off. Ordered a size 9 (my shoe size), and it was too large. Returned them a day later. Easy return, though, so can't complain about that.

I normally wear a 10.5, but ordered an 11 because other reviews said they run a bit small. ...that was and understatement! They were way too small. I had to check to verify they were a men's 11 (they were.) I could barely fit my foot inside to try them on. Besides that, they seemed to be well made and looked great. I may try and order a size 12.5 and see how they fit.

I've had these shoes for a few months now. Hands down the best I've ever had. Not too bulky, not to light. I was a little worried at first because I got a hot spot on my achilles, but with a few days of gritting my teeth while hiking they now fit perfectly! They are awesome in the Wyoming snow and ice, and I'm sure they'll be great when things thaw out. One of the toe caps started to peel back, but I nipped that in the bud with some shoe goo. Highly recommend! Color is a little darker than appears in picture.

Overall, these shoes are ok. They run about a half size small compared to other Keens. 11 is usually almost too long so I’m still ok in an 11 with these but they require thin socks to work. It’s also impossible to get them snug. The laces stop too far down to be able to get them appropriately tight so they end up feeling like slip on shoes that are a bit loose. For a casual shoe, it’s not a deal killer but if you plan to hike in them it could be trouble. They are incredibly warm. Nice since I have to wear this socks but they are not going to be wearable in the summer.

I ordered a size bigger than normal, and these still felt a little tight at first. I freaked a little, because I wanted to wear them during my trip to Europe, and I was leaving the same day. I took a gamble, and fortunately they broke in. They were pretty comfortable after that, and I did a LOT of walking (sometimes over 20,000 steps a day). They still feel just a little like they're pinching the sides of my toe tips, which is irritating, but they don't cause pain or blisters. I should probably have kept looking for something wide width. I'm pleased they are waterproof, and look good for a variety of occasions. Good choice for traveling.

this is one of the best shoes I've ever worn!

My only complaint is the laces were way too long 60" should have been 45"

This one is made for midgets I guess.

メレルの靴が好きで主にメレルを履いていました。古い物は１０年以上履いている物のあります。最近買ったメレルに不満があり”キーン”を初購入幅広甲高なので少し上方向に圧迫感があります。履いている間になじむ程度だと思います。しっかりした靴を大事に履く人にはお勧めします。
