Kala Klipz Rechargeable Chromatic Clip-On Tuner for Guitar/Bass/Violin/Ukulele, Black

This is a great little tuner. We use it for our 3 ukeleles. It is small enough to fit easily on the fender headstock of my daughter's soprano uke, which is great, and it works well for our 4 and 8 string tenor ukes as well. It has multiple settings for tuning various instruments. The display is easy to read and very responsive. It is large enough to see clearly while being small enough that it is unobtrusive. The screen rotates to every imaginable angle and stays put once you adjust it. It recharges via mini USB (a mini USB cord is included, a charger is not. Both my phone charger and my Kindle charger worked to charge it). It regains a full charge after about an hour. I have yet to use up the full charge as I tend not to leave to tuner on unless I am actively using it. Very happy with this purchase.

This is a great little tuner that Kala has made and you don’t have to go out and find those small batteries. This tuner you can charge about every four months or so. A very good buy.

Fast shipping! This is great with saving money on battery and eco-friendly, which I like. It’s accurate.However, this is not easy to use, it’s really slow with reading or picking up the note when tuning. That read delay is bad that I would not recommend using this during gigs, you’ll waste time and get annoyed on stage. I’ll keep it as practice session tuner or as a back up.Update, the clip broke, as well as the screen which now has this permanent white glare right in the top center where the reader goes when the string is in tune, but I can’t see because of that glare. Going in the trash.

This is the lowest-cost rechargeable tuner I've seen, so I grabbed one. As a chromatic tuner for guitar, compared to my Snark tuners: The main rainbow display is equally clear, and the registration is nearly as fast and tight. The lower-right corner displays how many cents you're sharp or flat – a nice feature that I've never seen on other clip-on tuners.The housing is smaller and less obtrusive than a Snark's. But the ball joint rotates to about as many angles, you get set screws to tighten the joint, and the clamp easily fits around a guitar's peghead. What's missing? The arms are smaller and more fragile than on Snarks and other guitar-oriented tuners. And a visual metronome would be nice. But for the cost of a battery-munching tuner, I can't really ask for more.
