Don't worry about me. My ego was just knocked down about 5 pegs after trying on this swimsuit. I followed the size chart, ordered a size 6/32. (For reference, I wear a 32C bra and 27" jeans and am 5'9". Usually I have problems with the torso length in swimwear.) I am a runner and reasonably trim, but as this suit reminded me, I am also a pear shaped woman. Holy moly!! After huffing and puffing to pull up the suit, it made me look like I had muffin butt and back fat. I suppose the competition fit is very tight to reduce drag in the pool, but (1) I'd only take up swimming as cross training and therefore don't care about that, and (2) wouldn't my bulging skin create drag? Dang, Speedo. You could've warned a girl by giving a better description on Amazon. At least I didn't have to try this on in a tiny dressing room because I probably would've fallen over from pulling it up (and there were some verbal expletives when I saw myself in the mirror.)Meanwhile, I also ordered an 8/34 in a Missy Franklin signature Speedo, which is also tagged "competitive" and has a much skimpier back cut. However, it fits much better. I am considering keeping that suit, but I will absolutely be returning this Ombre suit, and won't be requesting a larger size for comparison.Hope this review saved you from a major BUMmer.

I had read the reviews to purchase next size up as this suit runs on a smaller size. Reviews were very true! Please order minimum of one size up. I kept the suit, "squeezed " myself in and participated in a lap swim. The swimsuit was very comfortable during my swim. No rubbing or red marks left behind.

i needed a swimsuit for a swim meet and 28 is my usual size, however when i put it on it was too small. I have other swimsuits in the size 28 and they fit fine, so I can tell it is the company. I would recommend getting a size larger than what you usually are.

I bought this suit after reading other reviews, as I was looking for a replacement for my older worn-out and thinning Speedos. Sizing was perfect, the fabric ("Xtra Life" Lycra) is thick enough to provide coverage, but doesn't retain water. It's stretchy and the straps don't dig into my shoulders (probably a benefit of correct sizing as well).I swim a few times a week (when I'm being good!), and this suit can keep up. It's very flattering and reasonably modest, without looking like your grandma's swimsuit. The fly back does bare a fair amount of skin, so just be advised. This is my go-to suit now!

Feels a bit smaller than the usual speedo in the back area. Like a normal speedo, is obviously made for women with no butt, coverage in that area is horrible. Good for leg and arm articulation and seems to be of decent quality.

Definitely order one size bigger than you normally would be. These suits do run ONE SIZE small but they are of great quality and fit like a glove. I get a lot of compliments. Would order another suit if they bring back more colors.

Bought this for my girlfriend normally wears a size 0-2. She could hardly get her leg in it and believes I bought a child suit as a joke. As far as the quality suit itself it seems high like you would expect from speedo.

Great bathing suit. I bought this for lane swimming at the pool and so far, it works great. It's comfortable, the material is sturdy, and it is holding up well so far. I am 5'10" with a long torso and the 38 fits perfectly and is definitely long enough.
