Getting ready for an upcoming trip to Europe and noticed that the weather has been warm but rainy where we're going. I have lightweight windbreakers and rain jackets but not one that combines both so I took a chance and ordered this jacket. When it arrived, I was immediately impressed at how well it was made. It's not as lightweight as I thought but, then again, how can you have warmth and rain-proofing with a jacket that weighs 2 oz (sarcasm). I'm 5'3", about 150 lbs and opted for a Large due to my 38" chest (bra size) and wide shoulders. The jacket is not fitted but my husband commented that it almost looks fitted. It's not bulky but yet there's enough room to allow for a bit of layering underneath. At first I was concerned as the lining seemed so thin but, after wearing it around the house a bit, I surmise that it will be plenty warm enough for me. And, being tired of always wearing black, I opted for the purple color and love it. Not a "bright" color but just a nice, subdued purple which should go with most everything. I do wish it had a drawstring at the bottom but it's not flaired too much. Overall, I'm very pleased (and surprised) at how nice this jacket is. (Note: It is a little bit stiff and does 'crinkle' but that should go away after wearing it a few times.)

I just received this jacket Diamond Candy in a light Khaki color. It is very well made of a waterproof outer layer with a very light fleece lining. The pockets are hidden and in the front, not the side, perfect for ease of use and to keep pickpockets away on travels. There is a small pocket on the chest area also. The hood is perfectly affixed with velcro at the neck and when wearing it covers the neck and chin from wind if desired. Besides the hood stays in place and looks attractive unlike hoods on other jackets. I have a NF which cost me $400 and I can say this jacket rivals it for under $40. I’ve never given such a long review but I’m impressed by this jacket and I’m looking forward to wearing it on a trip to the dessert in Spring. Also it is light and is packable. I ordered a L and it fits comfortably over a light sweater when zippered up.

I bought this jacket to take on a recent tour of Norway. I had read that in Bergen, Norway it rains over 260 days out of the year and sure enough we were there on a very rainy day. This jacket was perfect. It kept me dry and does a terrific job as a windbreaker. I especially liked the ability to zip the hood off, if all I needed was a windbreaker (perfect walking on deck of a ship). Also, the hood had side adjustment straps that you can pull to tighten the hood on your head to prevent it from blowing off in a high wind. Great design! The Small jacket was roomy enough for me at 125 lbs and 5'4" to wear some layers underneath including a packable down jacket. I loved the color and the cut of the jacket is flattering. The jacket was thin enough for me to roll it up and store it when it wasn't needed in my day pack (see review of Owala sling bag). The only reason I can't give this a 5 star is that I'm uncertain it would hold up alone in a downpour since we used an umbrella when the rain got very heavy. It kept me dry in a light rain without umbrella.

I bought this to wear on a cruise to Greenland and Canada. I also plan to wear in Alaska. It is a great jacket. Perfect for layering! I ordered a size larger so I could wear a fleece jacket underneath. The shoulders are solid pieces, no seams there, so no leaking! I didn't get wet at all. We had mist and downpours. I was warm enough with layering. After researching so many...I'm very happy I purchased this one!

Got this for a great price and am really impressed with how nice it is. I got the medium and it fits just right but only if I want to wear a t-shirt or thin long sleeve shirt. It was too tight with anything bulky underneath. Tried it with my fIeece vest and I could zip it up but looked like a stuffed sausage. Lol! But since I like it so much and for the price I just ordered a large for days I need to wear something bulky underneath. I'll keep the medium for days when I just need the jacket.

Love this coat. Color is great. No leaks the hood is nice and lays flat when not using. Easy to dry off. Just shake and water rolls right off.

The jacket is good quality, but you definitely need to size up. I usually wear a M or L, so I ordered L. It was super tight across my chest, and there’s no way I could’ve worn a jacket underneath. Returned and re-ordered an XL. Fits great, but is pretty long. However, I’ll be returning this one as well. I didn’t try the hood on with the first one I ordered. Tried out the hood with the new one, and it looks pretty ridiculous, lol. It’s detachable, so if you don’t plan on using the hood then this is probably a great raincoat. But I specifically bought this because I’d like to keep my hair dry when I’m walking into work. The hood velcros in the front, so has long flaps that aren’t sewn to the jacket. Just looks silly to me. Might be fine if you zip the front of the jacket all the way up, but on me, it came up to my chin, so zipping all the way up wasn’t comfortable, leaving the hood looking quite odd.

Surprisingly warm for such a light jacket . Have only worn it twice for dog walking but the rain was quite heavy and I was completely dry. It is also windproof. It is generously sized and should easily accommodate a heavy jumper when winter starts in earnest. Very happy with it so far.

I purchased this jacket to wear while walking my dog in the upcoming Autumn/Winter/Spring. I haven't used it in very heavy rain yet but it seems to do its job very well in moderate and light rain. It is thin but very warm, especially when worn with a fleece underneath when its a bit cooler outside. The adjustable width of the sleeves around the wrists is a great addition, so is the large hood. The only issue I can think of is that it runs a bit large, not too large but not slim either. It is perfect for layering underneath.

I like it in person even more.
