Powder Laundry Detergent, Original Scent, 133 Loads, 123 OZ

This large box of Gain powder detergent has been perfect for my household. It lasts a long time, so it’s a great value compared to buying smaller bottles or boxes more often. A little goes a long way — my clothes come out clean even with tough stains like grass or food. The scent is incredible and lasts for days after washing, without being overpowering. I also love that it dissolves well in both cold and warm water, so there’s no residue left on dark clothes. Overall, this is now my go-to detergent. Great cleaning power, amazing smell, and the large size means I don’t have to restock as often.

After raising x4 kiddos of my own.. and housing over 70 shelter babies spanning more then a decade for the state while a permanent home could be found… It’s fair to say- i’ve done my share of laundry- I may even be a semi professional.. ha! Trying every option around in every type pod, powder or liquid- I always navigate back to ORIGINAL GAIN POWDER.. it’s tried and true.. and by far the best value and results I’ve come across for a reliable detergent. A huge statement to take on the dirty I’ve seen.. and one I find Gain can solidly back up. Having a soccer player from toddler thru collegiate play.. i’m seeing every grass, turf, mud stain to exist. After 70+ newborns from formula to diaper accidents, baby food and everything in between.. Or, husband who travels- to bring me dirty clothes after the impact of a stain.. and can’t forget my decade-long equestrian rider.. avid snow skiers and skate boarder. Or the cherry on top.. my wanna be cook who spills it all and never pretreats stains (ha! I’m preaching a tune most mama’s know by heart all too well, but just want to set the stage!) Hands-down, the most refreshing fragrance that is pleasant and won’t make you smell of laundry perfume like other brands (Tide!) can do.. I want a fresh scent that is present in sheets, towels, clothing yet, has the ability to dissipate with my own perfume and fresh air.. personal preference I know. This is a light clean (dare I say floral) scent- with add on dryer Sheet and scent booster- I find it is just enough to do the job intended. As for the tricky stains- I love to use oxy gel with powder and a small brush to activate by pre-treating.. I also thrive on the ability to add more or less detergent by powder form without worry of liquid staining on clothing. Whites look bright and colors hold fast. I know, It’s a lot praise for a detergent.. After using for years- I had to review bc, the price has stayed so reasonable when others have climbed to absurd levels. What’s crazy.. I would pay a higher price to use!! However, I’m grateful I don’t have to!! Crazy as my kids have grown and found themselves doing laundry of their own- everyone has navigated to the same “scent + performance” like their mama uses at home.. think smarter not harder! Try it- is the best advice I can offer. Varied scent options they’ve made are also pleasant- BUT, nothing beats the original! Hoping info can help- stay safe and clean everyone!! Update: making our paste for pretreating a stain did a marvelous job without damaging material or leaving a soap residue stain!! Single-handedly took on raspberry marg. that was spilled at an amusement park and baked in the sun all day.. 15hr later, we whipped up the concoction- and BooM! Removed the stain completely- Noteworthy achievement.. total witchcraft!!!!

You just can't beat the Gain Original scent! This powder detergent leaves my clothes, towels, and bedding smelling incredibly fresh, and the scent actually lasts for days after washing. It works perfectly in my HE washing machine, dissolves completely without leaving any residue, and leaves everything looking bright and clean. This huge 123 oz box lasts a long time and is a fantastic value. Will always buy this!

Long lasting scent easy to use value for my money

I love the cleanliness and the smell of my cloths that are washed with this powder. I am a repeat customer. I have not found any detergent that I enjoy the smell of as much as I enjoy the smell of Gain original. I hope they never do away with this scent. This box lasts my household of two for a really long time. It cleans well, requires only a small amount to get the job done and neither of us has had any issues with it on our skin. I recommend this powder in you HE machine.

2.15.24~ Wanna know why I picked up Gain in a box? Bc pods just don't do as well as a scoop. Plus Gain is the only affordable box. Tired of buying plastic. Wanna know how I got on Gain? Bc Gain made a liquid in a box like wine. Again affordable with small eco footprint but now it's gone. We are outside people in a humid climate. We need clean clothes not scented like a plug in fabrics. If clothes are not clean, you know it the minute you sweat. Gain liquid or powder gets dirty stinky clothes deep clean. As much as the scent permeates the air during a wash, Clothes smell clean not scented by the time you fold. We use machines in our building. If you think powder will ruin your clothes bc you don't own a washer, it won't. Add scoop to empy machine then pile clothes. Rinses like liquid. Also I don't use fabric softener. Sometimes add baking soda. Use wool dryer balls with essential oil to for linens. I am not Gain's target audience but as long as it stays in a box, I'll stay with Gain. Yup Gain. Go figure. Never watched that commercial with the lady inhaling her Gain And thought " Yeah gotta get me some of that" Just a household on tight budget right now that can't afford Eco. Wont use pods or the plastic they leave on clothes & still on fence with sheets Found a box of Gain that was on budget. Lucky me it was my only choice. Buen producto limpia bien y deja un olor bonito a ala ropa

Desde que compré lavadora de alta eficiencia (HE) batallé para encontrar detergente en polvo compatible ya que el resto genera mucha espuma que se puede quedar en la ropa. Fue cuando me encontré con esta opción que resulta bastante económica ya puesta en la puerta de mi casa, con buen aroma y lo más importante : lavado efectivo Mi opción #1 para ropa clara.

Su mayor atractivo es el aroma y el precio, conozco los productos de Gain desde hace tiempo y es la primera vez que me conviene por precio su presentación en polvo, de entrada me hizo recordar cuando era niño, como mediamos con la taza medidora que está incluido. El resultado: me gustó mucho, claro tienes que usar mínimo agua TIBIA para que el polvo se disuelva completamente y haga bien su trabajo. Pues creo que desmugra las toallas blancas mejor que los detergentes líquidos que uso (Tide y Gain). Genera suficiente espuma al principio del ciclo pero es muy ligera, ideal para las lavadoras de carga frontal, de todos modos al final del LAVADO la espuma ya está muy controlada y practicamente pasa al enjuague y observas como lo poco que pudo quedar aún en las prendas termina por salirse de las fibras.

Very strong, you don't need to use too much. I used too much and had to rewash four loads of laundry. Good scent, washes clothes well, however it didn't get out some stains as easily as another brand I have used hence 4 stars.
