Long term review
I bought this one (D2 Carbon Fiber) and a S30v Carbon Fiber over 5.5 years ago. I don't know why someone would ever give a bad review on this folder beside possibly providing false information to diminish sales of this knife. All I can say is this IS a great knife in both steels, very precisely made and it radiates quality through-out its construction. The D2 version is my EDC and I love how low it sits in the pocket and never had any issues pulling it quickly when needed or the clip being too bulky for that mater. I actually think they put a lot of forethought into the clip design, never snags and no sharp edges on the clip or scales. Holds edge fairly well, but when needed I'll run it across a DYI MDF sharping wheel with white polishing compound. In 15 seconds I'm back hair popping sharp! When I let someone use it, I do let them know to be careful. So after 5 years of use it still open smoothly, easily and absolutely no side to side play. I was actually thinking of buying a third one just in case they stop making these for some reason.

Superb folder for the money.
Superbly built folding knife. I've only had it a short while, so my review is based solely on build quality, and not on heat treating/edge holding, etc.The good: Arrived phenomenally sharp. First knife I've ever received that would cut 'standing' paper. You either love the Scandi edge or not. I do. It's just about the least durable edge, but the sharpest. Everything on the knife was world-class. Grind was perfect, blade was centered, lock up was tight but smooth. No blade play. One handed opening was a breeze. Very comfortable in hand (excepting the pocket clip). Great materials. Carbon fiber handle scales are rough, which gives great purchase on the knife. D2 isn't exactly stainless, but it's used to cut other steels, so you know it's tough. One of my favorite steels. The bad: Really nothing. I'm hypercritical, but I honestly couldn't find much to complain about on this knife. Only sorta negative was the pocket clip. It's kinda bulky and in the way (particularly if you're left handed, which I am). Sits very low in the pocket (most of the time a GREAT, rather than a good), but is somewhat hard to draw without a lanyard. Luckily for me, I make lanyards, and this pocket knife screams for one. That's a minor quibble, and more a matter of preference.Bottom Line: Spyderco, Benchmade, etc. WISH they could make a folder this good for the money. You'll pay more, and get less knife with those two.

Excellent knife
This is a very well done folding version of a traditional Finnish knife. It has excellent fit and finish and arrived shaving sharp and has held that edge over a few weeks of every day carry and use. The blade geometry has proven very useful so far. I have no complaints about the form and function of the knife. I haven't pushed it to any extremes yet, but I don't see any reason to worry. My one real test was cleaning fouling from a spark plug in a pinch, which it did fine and it *did not* need a touch up afterward, despite being used to scrape steel and ceramic clean. I was careful not to abuse the edge, but a lesser steel and temper would have worn anyway. The carbon fiber scales are basically flawless and way beyond my other knife with similar scales. I just don't see anything to complain about unless you just don't like the Finnish-style blade. As for carry, it's kind of medium sized. It's not as big and bulky as many, but definitely takes up more space than my mini griptilian, which is probably my #1 EDC. However, it has some diameter and a nice curve to hold onto, since it doesn't really have any kind of guard to protect the fingers in vigorous use, but this is just how this style of knife is. If you want a Finnish knife for the pocket, this is a good bet.

However after putting this knife to the test it has officially become my go to and one of my favorite knives. Everything on this
I was hesitant to purchase this knife, mainly due to the design of the handle and the price. However after putting this knife to the test it has officially become my go to and one of my favorite knives.Everything on this knife is designed perfectly. The size is perfect, the handle is surprisingly solid and feels very comfortable in hand. The blade is exceptionally strong and very sharp out of the box.I own over 35 knives (maybe more) – From fixed blades to folders, and if you need a day to day work horse pocket folding knife, then this is the perfect knife.

A Very Well Made Knife !!
This is a high end well made razor sharp EDC folder. I ended up ordering another one just in case. Read the specs and watch the reviews on YouTube. You will unbox a very well made knife. It is centered and opens smoothly. I recommend this knife for anyone wanting to add a very good EDC to your rotation.

Brittle Clip
Blade itself was great, but the body build quality left something to be desired. Clip popped off sitting in my pocket after less than a week, with no heavy use. Not sufficiently rugged to be the EDC I was hoping for.

Spendy, but well worth it
Incredibly sharp, minimalist design, scandi grind makes it very easy to sharpen. By far my favorite pocket knife.
