Good Strainer
Exactly what I needed. This works perfectly for straining pasta, etc. And it’s very cute too. :)

Adorable, sturdy, and convenient, just be careful how you tilt the tail!
I bought this to replace a free strainer of a similar style that was made of flimsy plastic and developing a crack down the middle. I wanted something similar because I have very little counter and sink space and no dishwasher, so a crescent pasta strainer is a lot more convenient than having to whip out the colander every time I want pasta (which is a lot of times). Was not disappointed with this guy! He's very sturdy and has done a great job draining my pasta every time I've used him. I especially love how clever this design is, since whales actually eat this way - by taking a big mouthful of ocean, and then straining the water out so they just get the tasty bits! (They technically do it through the baleen plates they have in place of teeth, rather than the underside of their jaw like this strainer does, but it would be really hard to design a pasta strainer based on that LOL)One word of caution - I'm not docking a star for this, but only because it's more of a user error than a design flaw. Design-wise, it's great that there's lips on both sides, so that the strainer can be used easily by lefties and righties alike! However, be careful that you don't tilt the tail end down towards yourself, because the lip will catch the hot water and funnel it down to your hand. I haven't gotten any significant burns from this, but it does hurt and is very annoying.

Useful!
I bought one of these on the Wish app years ago and have used it ever since. My kids grew up and my daughter is furnishing her apartment. We looked all over for one and finally found one on Amazon. I probably paid 3 times as much as I did before but it’s worth it. It’s compact, works wonderfully and cute!

Small but functions
Functions well and very cute, but only works with smaller pots since the contents would spill over the edge if tried with larger pot.

MOST EFFECTIVE COOKING TOOL!
This blue whale strainer (actual blue whales DO strain seawater through their teeth!) is a super-product! It works easily, is highly effective, is very easy to wash and saves washing a colander. ALSO, with the strained food still in the pot, it is very easy to add olive oil, or seasoning and stir right in the pot!I recommend highly!

Beyond useful!
This item should be in EVERY kitchen - OMG. Beyond useful, as well as cute and whimsical.I use it for all kinds of food items where one can have items that need straining, but doesn't have the sink space to plop down a huge colander (like dishes in the way from alot of cooking going on at once, which, yes, I am very guilty of doing), or a huge colander is not useful for the item to be strained (say when I need to strain something that is so small in matter, like rice, that just goes right through the holes of the colander).Hard to see in the pic, but the 'whale's gills' has a lip that snugly hugs onto the curve of a pot or bowl. Also great for when you don't want to strain off all of the liquid, just most of it, like when making ramen.Needless to say, this thing stays within reach of the sink at all times now! :D

Practical
For some reason my husband insisted on having this. Not going to lie it’s pretty practical. Much easier than our other strainers.

Useful and fun
This is my favorite strainer. It is sturdy and holds up to a good amount of pasta. It works great and is easy to clean and store. I love the fun design and how little space it takes up in the drawer and it fits easily on the tap rack of dishwasher to clean.

Very handy for draining cooking pots.
Works well. Sturdy plastic. I would have preferred a different colour, but then it wouldn't be a blue whale.

Love love love it
Great for straining pasta, or removing a little liquid from rice or soup. It has a bunch of different uses and looks great in the process!

A whale that strains with teeth!
This thing is surprisingly good! I thought fun, cheerful and handy… I got all of that, plus easy to wash (dishwasher ok!), easy to store, and fits on a variety of smaller to medium sized pots. Like all good whales be careful to strain tail up or the water might come down it to your hands… but that’s my only flaw. It’s sturdy, well balanced in the hand, and strains rice, pasta, veg, corn cobs and everything else with ease!I’ve decided to keep this as my secret ‘Surprisingly good secret Santa gift’ for the future.

Accessoire bien utile
Passoire bien utile, même si la forme baleine n'est pas indispensable.Dommage que cela soit si difficile à dénicher par chez nous...
