FryeWomen's Carly Zip Chelsea Boot

I like the boots overall considering the fact that I paid $74.50 before tax, which is a great price for any Frye boots. However, the leather seems definitely thinner, cheaper, lighter, and the fit is definitely narrower, and even the length is slightly shorter. I wear true 8.5 medium width shoes, and i got 8.5. I do not think people with normal to slightly wider feet will be able to enjoy these pair. if you are in between sizes, definitely size up. I'll return mine. I've tried and can't make it work. :(

I saw someone wearing this and liked the design of the "open zipper", so I was glad it was available in my size. I took a chance of ordering it, after reading the other reviews because I own several pairs of Frye boots (all in the same size, all comfortable, and all good quality). It isn't too difficult to put on (for me) as other reviews noted but the toe space is unusually narrow (the reason for only 4 stars and why it will be returned).

Didn’t like material of boots

Boots arrived today. I liked the boot but could barely get on or off. The zippers on both side of the boots I assume are for looks only as they definitely do not zip. I will be sending these these back and trying a 1/2 size larger and see what happens

I have these in the cognac also and love these just as much. These do not disappoint if you love Frye boots! Some pics look bad in the reviews like damaged for sure, but as far as the discoloration goes, that’s the style of these. It’s not mold. You can find solid black or distressed black on the Frye website. The zipper is just for looks also. They aren’t supposed to zip. Hope this helps others in the future.

Very stylish, fits as expected (9.5). I own several pairs of Freys and the fit has always, thus far, been consistent. Can be hard to take off, however. Zippers are decorative only.

I bought a Frye Purse and wallet with this and wanted the boots to match. The design makes it almost impossible to get on, and after trying for 10 min and finally getting the first one on, I decided no matter how cute they were, the effort to take on and off was not worth it. I didn't even put on the second one. I will be returning these.
