GYMENIST Exercise Bench Foldable Can Be Used 7 Different Angles Positions, Can Be Folded Flat for Storage NO Assembly Needed

August 13, 2019, I received this bad boy. And, I am a very happy camper. Yes it is already assembled. Completely preassembled. There is no work to be done just unfold. The price was more than right, the price is excellent for this quality bench. Let me rephrase, this very good quality bench. Before I made my decision, my only concern was “the gap” other customers referenced. It is a tad wider than you would desire, but it is DEFINITELY not a dealbreaker. You can easily solve any concerns by placing a towel in the gap. I used it without the towel and I noticed no I’ll effects on my lift. See the picture that I posted. Anyway, I haggled and haggled, back-and-forth back-and-forth until I finally made my decision. I’m VERY VERY VERY glad I made the decision to purchase this bench. Yes I highly recommend this purchase. You won’t go wrong you will be exceptionally pleased. I know I am! And no, I’m not a paid reviewer. I’m just an Amazon customer trying to support others. Good luck with your decision. This is the right one. The right bench.

The bench is made of sturdy and durable materials. The height and width of the bench is the closest one I could find to the specifications of most powerlifting federations (most commercial benches are not). I emailed customer service about the dimensions and they responded very quickly! Also, the bench has plenty of different angles to adjust to and it is very easy to do so. One small qualm I have is that there is a slight gap between the padding where you put your torso and where your butt ends up if you have the bench in a flat position (Likely there so that there is a way for the back to slide when you adjust angles of the bench). I'm a little over 6ft tall so this may not be an issue for everyone, but I sometimes end up with my butt in that space if my set-up is slightly off. Aside from this small detail, the bench is a great buy and I definitely recommend it!

The bench came in the time it was supposed to and is more comfortable and sturdier than I though it would be. However given that it is already assembled it needs to be packaged better, upon opening it was just in a plastic bag and not all that secured resulting in one of the leg end caps being broken. Luckily I was able to glue most of it back together for it not to effect anything, but it was a slight inconvenience.

Okay, keep in mind, unless you are pulling this out of a closet and dragging it 15 feet to the living room, this could be difficult to move for smaller/weaker people. Also, I don't understand the purpose of the spring-lock/screw bolt. the distance on the spring pull does not unlock anything, you still have to unscrew it. The first time I used it, the entire mechanism seized and even after oiling, I was unable to fold it down. Fortunately there are separate threads at the frame. I might replace it with a simple pin bolt at some point to make it easier. On the plus side, the welding, paint, upholstery and overall construction are 100% quality. Sturdy and comfortable.

Everything about the bench is great with a small exception. When you lower the bench into the flat mode, there is a gap between the seat and the back that tends to be right where by butt wants to be. Easily overcome by scooting forward a bit - it would be nice though, if the seat and back met with no gap. In spite of that I would recommend the bench...1) no assembly (not sure why Amazon even offers the assembly option), 2) folds down and stores nicely, 3) looks good, 4) quality materials, 5) easy to use.

Great bench! If you read reviews of other benches the number one complaint people have is assembling the bench. This bench comes fully assembled. Just open the box pull out the bench and you are ready to go. It has 7 positions for adjusting the back, which is more than most people will ever need. The construction is sturdy and quite good and rated for 800LBs. From a looks perspective the orange and gray is pretty cool. This bench is collapsible and easy to store under a bed or you can stand it up to pack it away after using. The only issue I would tell the manufacturer is to have a more sturdy carton. The carton was pretty beat up by the time UPS delivered it but there was no damage to the bench.

Great overall bench, has all of the features I was looking for and is sturdy when using it. Only knock I have is it's a bit of a PITA to lay it flat as the holes in the bottom leg attachment don't line up perfectly so you have to fiddle with it to lock into place or unlock. Also, as a prior reviewer mentioned, the seat positioning when in the decline position is rough on the tailbone because it creates a gap between the seat and the back and the edges dig into your skin.

The only thing that is not good about the bench is that the butt seat doesn't angle up or down which won't match the angle of the backrest when you incline it so, it can become uncomfortable. You may want to look into an adjustable seat bench. Maybe there other one does? Otherwise it's very nice and I suggest it for all your friends and pets as well!
