Decades ago they wanted a better life now they want benefits
I lived in the human trafficking capital of the US Phoenix. Trump is right Mexico and many many Mexicans in these days and times are corrupt as hell. Decades ago they wanted a better life now they want benefits, to sell their drugs, to human smuggle, the list goes on and on. The coyotes, human smugglers, transport people for a cost. While going thru the Sonoran desert these coyotes rape and rob the women and sometimes the men. Then when they get into the US the coyotes sell these children and women to human traffickers. Or they sell them into slavery to work off their debt in the fields or where ever. Build a wall and MAGA!!!

You still won't know!
Although the doc tries to present both sides, it's clear that no one knows for sure if the varmint has fooled us all again. Too set up. And wasn't El Chapo married? Didn't he have kids? Ever hear of DNA testing? I feel sorrow for the poor folks of Sinaloa and the Juarez area. They are still wearing their blinders and hoping for miracles. Ridiculous. I feel the production company did a shabby job in interviewing. Either it was too set up or the comments, especially by the common folks, were lip service for a few pesos. I couldn't watch it all. Build the Wall~

Killer of innocents
It is amazing how the people loved him even though he was so evil and a killer. I wonder how the families of his victims feel about him killing their loved ones for drugs. How many of America families lost love ones to his drugs that they flooded America with? I glad he was recaptured and lock up again even if he is privilege prisoner .

I think an ongoing documentary or a documentary on the subject of El Chapo will be a better use of your entertainment time
This was a poorly made movie which was rushed to be put together and released before all the facts were collected. I think an ongoing documentary or a documentary on the subject of El Chapo will be a better use of your entertainment time.

If you like drug dealers, you'll love El Chapo!
3.5 stars. Interesting perspective on how a major drug lord is viewed from multiple angles: govt, police, citizens, victims, etc. Does a good job of telling a complete story vs. just taking a position.

This documentary is mostly interviews over and over, a large percentage of them being average Mexican citizens with little to no idea of how governments work alongside cartels. Rather than any deep investigating offering scientific or empirical evidence with detailed storytelling, this is just a cursory exploration as to what may have happened when El Chapo was captured the 2nd time.

Just ok
Repetitive information, almost as if he pieced together this documentary from several other "El Chapo" documentaries. Just ok.
