Solid rubber, solid purchase, great for automitive lifting
I used mine to jack up a Land Rover. The texture is similar to a harder solid rubber, maybe like the smooth part inside some tires. I noticed it deformed slightly (maybe 1/10") when subject to the lifting force of the frame, but overnight it bounced back. I wouldn't cut slots in this to lift frame rails since it will reduce the height such that frame rails will hit the side of the saddle, at least in my jack. I wish they made it in a double height version for this express purpose. (Maybe the manufacturer should go into making jack pads!) Overall, It's much cheaper than any "professional" alternatives for lift pads, expecially the janky Prothane products that look like pads but really are poor fitting and slippery saddle covers. Anyway, the height is perfect to clear metal frame components versus the lip of the jack saddle. It works great as a jack pad in old Snap-On and Hein Werner jacks. It's especially great for the Hein Werner which has circular chamfers cut into the saddle. This is one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon. And, it doesn't smell like the inside of a Harbor Freight store.

Makes a great GoPro mount!
This is a great hunk of rubber and plastic. Heavy, cylindrical. Just as you expect a hockey puck to be. Good price. Know what I used it for? Saw a photo online of someone who had used an adhesive GoPro quick-release mount to secure their camera to the puck. My hat's off to the person who thought of this. You can set the resulting mini-tripod in the sand without fear of getting particles in your fancy tripod. Works great on a table. I found a ton of other uses for this as a mount. It's heavy and stable. Easy to carry around, and cheap if you lose it. I haven't played hockey with this yet, but will report back if I do.

I hate bent pinch seems
Bought two, cut one in 3rds, glued the two outer edges on top of the 2nd puck to create a channel for my pinch seem on my VW GTI so that I could lift it without smashing my frame. Used Plastic Epoxy (the kind in two syringes) to glue together and left in my vice overnight. Works very well, I use it as a block under my VW and my Jeep ZJ when I don't want to scratch the paint or bend seams. Works well for lifting under my axles as well. Well worth the time and effort I put into making it. I hate bent pinch seems. No more hate.

Twelve Pucks in a Bag in a Box
This is a bag of twelve (12) ice hockey pucks. The pucks come in a mesh bag. The mesh bag was shipped in a box. Inside the box: A mesh bag. Inside the bag: Pucks. No surprises here, decent quality pucks and mediocre bag; but then again I didn't buy this for the bag, so no worries. If you're looking for a great mesh bag, buy something else. If you're looking for exactly 12 pucks that happen to come in a black mesh bag, you can't go wrong with this deal. Pucks + mesh bag = this product. I would like them with a fox, I would love them in that box. I would like them with John Tesh, and like them more in a bag of mesh. I would like them with a mouse, I would like them at my house I would like them if there's twelve, no need for a return and reshelve So here I am procrastinating. Just buy them w/Prime to reduce your waiting. Of the many, many purchases I've made on Amazon, I'm ecstatic that this is the one they've invited me to review. tl;dr PUCKS

SOLID!
This is one solid piece of rubber. Never having had a puck before (and not requiring one for sports purposes) I wasn't sure what this would be like. Well - it's heavy and solid. I'm using it as a saddle seat for my Harbor Freight 3 ton jack. The problem with those jacks is that they don't have anything other than a flat saddle. Most cars have a pinch weld where the jacking point is which shouldn't have pressure put on it. The jacks should really come with a 'U' shape saddle that sits either side of the weld - but they don't. So this is where this piece of rubber comes in (did I mention that it's solid?!). I don't have a band saw so I used a jigsaw and a Dremel to cut out a 3/4 in deep by 3/8in wide 'slot in the middle. This thing is damn hard to cut through - it took me about half an hour using my tools. It's rough but does the job. You're better off getting hold of a band saw if you can. At least I can rest the car on this instead of on the flat saddle - and it's better than spending upwards of $15 for a purpose made slotted puck.

Useful as pad for floor jack
I bought this hockey puck when it showed up in a search for a pad for a floor jack. I obviously wasn't looking for a hockey puck, but the other options for floor jack pads were prothane (too soft) or rubber disks with a slot for fitting to a car's pinch weld. Ideally, I would have found a pad about 3" in diameter, but this one is 2.75" and will do the trick. Its solid rubber and was a better solution to what I was looking for, even though it was not what I sought out to find!

These are great hockey pucks at a great price per unit that I use unconventionally as feet for turntables to reduce vibrations or to provide speakers with more stability and to prevent movement. A+

Bought these for our grandson and loved that we could get a pack of 12, the price and quality was excellent AND they arrived from Amazon in time for his first game...he is 6 years old and thinks that he is Connor McDavid, thus the pucks (in the package) were a delight.

very solid quality, I use them as inexpensive speaker feet for my big floorstanding tower speakers for minimizing vibration between the speaker cabinets and the floor. Everything works fine.
