Easy oil change valve
Excellent!!! Exactly what I needed to make my oil change easier and not getting oil all over my hand and ground. Flip the valve open, Drain, Close the valve!! Easy!! Should’ve bought it years ago. Live this thing. Only thing that “kinda” worried me when I bought it was whether or not it’d somehow come open on it own off roading or something hitting it on the freeway but now that I have it in my hand and looking at it I now see this thing is made well and it’s definitely not going to accidentally get opened. I love it

Huge convenience boost
Easy to install and no leaks. I haven't had to do another oil change yet but I did add about a quart to test it and it works great. I think if I was ordering it again, I'd get one of the right angle ones or the ones with a hose barb so I don't even need an oil pan and can drain straight into an empty jug.

No more stripped threads!
I've installed three of these valves on various cars over the years. This is usually the first maintenance item I'll buy for my cars for two reasons: 1) Makes oil changes a breeze with just a flick of the valve. But more importantly, 2) I've read far too many stories of stripped threads on oil pans. This valve is a "install once for the life of the car" type of thing meaning no worrying about stripped threads.Installing them can't be any easier. Just remove the drain bolt, drain the oil, clean the drain bolt opening, then hand tighten the Fumoto valve. I'll usually add a half turn to tighten, usually a little more to position the valve handle correctly. Never had a leak on all three cars. These valves now come with a blocking cap which prevents the handle from accidentally turning, though I can't imagine how it'd open on its own. It's a little on the pricy side, but the fit & finish are second to none and for me, they've been worth every penny.

If you change your own oil, buy this valve!
I have a 2018 Tacoma. The engine is like a vertical column and the oil in the pan sprays out hard when you remove the plug. I've changed my oil 10 times. 9 of those times I was cleaning up oil that spilled. I tried everything to keep it from splashing out of the pan. This time, I just rotated the handle on valve and there was a controlled drain. A little to begin with and then open fully. No oil plug to fish out of the oil pan. I didn't leak a drop.

Great, simple upgrade for DIY oil changers.
Was this way more expensive than a typical oil pan drain bolt? Absolutely! Is it worth every penny? If you change your own oil, in my opinion, absolutely! If you enjoy paying a service center (in the case of my Lexus) $200 for an oil change - this holds no value to you. If you enjoy saving $170 for 15 minutes of your time - this is easily worth its weight in brass! Is it life changing? Not really. But I appreciate the little things in life.
