It went on reasonably easy all though I did have to bend it so ...
After much study, I decided on this hitch for my Honda Fit. It went on reasonably easy all though I did have to bend it so the front left hole would line up. I used a large spanner {Crescent} wrench and a cheater to do this. Another review said he had to take it off and beat it with a hammer. Mine went on with much less drama. This hitch comes with all the hardware necessary to install it. It comes with wires that you can use to pull the bolt up into the frame, and then down through the hole that lines up with the hitch. I have never seen or used anything like this before, but it works great. Installation would be a real bugger with out these wires.I think this hitch is the best value. And it is the one sold by U-Haul, who sells thousands of hitches. I like that it came with a receiver. I already had a ball so I did not need one of them anyway. On the down side, it hangs down and can be seen. I was looking at the Hidden Hitch brand thinking it would be, well, hidden. But it appears to be exactly the same as this Draw-Tite hitch. The reviews of the Hidden Hitch also suggest it is not hidden. All things considered, I'm plenty happy with this hitch. The fact that it hands down a little is not that important as it is black and does not stand out anyway. I took one star off because I had to bend the hitch to get the holes to holes to line up, but in reality, that was not that big of a deal either. I would definitely recommend this hitch to a friend.I hope you found my review useful,Scott A

Easy to install and look sturdy
This hitch look well made. It’s very easy to install, just 4 bolts and nuts. Took me about 1 hr to install by myself. I drive my car to the edge of the side walk so I don’t need to jack my car up. I unhook one side of my muffler so I can maneuver easier and use the muffler to hold one side up while I tighten the other side. A lot easier if I have someone to help me. I use a dremmel to cut the hole so the metal lock washer will go in. All 4 of the hole line up perfectly. The hitch look well made but haven’t test it out yet. Bought it for my bike rack. Hopefully it won’t come off. It came with no packaging, lucky UPS handle it very good so no damage to the hitch. Overall happy with this product for now. Going to test it out this weekend with my bike hitch and bike on it.

Works perfectly, I love it!
I mounted this onto my Honda Fit (Sport model with navigation) year 2009. It fits perfectly, pun intended :)First off, the best thing I can suggest is going to the website "etrailer", search for this item, and watch their video instructions to installing this hitch. I'm sure reading the written manual would have eventually helped me do the job, but nothing quite beats watching and then repeating the work of someone else.I was moving 500 miles away for college and I wanted to take 2 of my bikes and my fiance's bike with me so I bought this and a Rhode Gear 4 bike hitch mounted bike rack. This hitch held up around 80 lbs. of bike and mounting equipment with no problems at all. It was difficult getting the very last bolt behind the exhaust pipe to catch onto the bolt's thread so I asked a friend to help. SOO much easier! The hitch is just barely noticeable and I like the way it looks. I can admire my work and be able to tell the different between my car and 99% of the other honda fits on the road.My favorite part of this project is that it doesn't require a welding job, even though I have a welder I prefer the option to take it off if I ever needed. What I needed to install this hitch correctly:I needed a dremel to cut a small notch approximately 1/4 inch long into my car's frame. A rectangular metal file would work and be cheaper, but would add a significant amount of manual labor.I also needed handheld sheers to cut through hard plastic. Some other kind of way to cut hard plastic might be OK.a torque wrench. This is to make sure that the bolts that are holding the hitch to the car's frame isn't too tight or too loose. I used a manual gauged torque wrench, because that's what we have available and its not expensive.

Easy to install, no muffler moving required. Doesn't impede exiting steep driveways.
The bolt and metal plates require fishing through the frame. The fishing wires supplied with the kit work great. Minor trimming of some plastic in the left side fender well is required, as is a file to make notches in the factory holes in the "frame rails" of the vehicle unibody.Mechanic, who must have been looking at some other vehicle, swore it was going to require dropping the muffler, and wanted $200 to install it. Did the install in my driveway in under two hours, including moving the BBQ out of the way.Although the hitch extends about 2 inches below the bottom of the stock bumper, it doesn't seem to impede the departure angle at all. I was able to get out of a funky off angle driveway with a steep transition without any drama. You'll likely drag the factory metal bracket on the bottom of the spare tire well before you drag on the hitch.

Great fit for my Fit.
Fit great on my 2011 Honda Fit Sport. A jack or an extra pair of hands is a must for installation. I was able to install without lifting the car, though it would've been easier with more clearance.

installed easily, otherwise time will tell.
As stated, this hitch was an easy install. Youtube videos demonstrate that with this exact hitch. I haven't used it a lot, yet. However, it should outlast the car since a Honda Fit's maximum tow weight is just under 1000 lbs.

En général très satisfait
Le produit fit parfaitement et comprend tout le nécessaire à l'installation.Le seul défaut est qu'il est shipper sans aucune protection alors il y a des "chip" de peinture un peu partout.

Great DIY hitch
I mounted this on our 2010 Honda Fit about a year ago. Took me a couple hours to put on, but the instructions were clear and simple to follow. It's been an excellent addition to the vehicle since.

Arrived missing lots of powder coating.
Factory box had no padding whatsoever, so hitch was scratched up and had about ten chucks of powder coating chipped off to expose bare metal, which will rust as soon as the hitch is mounted. Work quality is ok, but disappointing they don't protect their work when it's shipped. Too big of a hassle to return, so I'll just touch up all the exposed metal areas.

Easy install
Easily installed it in a few hours

Anti-corrosive paint peeling off
The item was not boxed or protected during shipping. The protective anti - corrosive paint is peeling of on multiple spots leaving bare metal exposed. If you live in an area where salt is used on the road during winter you should expect the frame to rust within couple of weeks. Your driveway will also get stained.
