The longest running rock tour in history comes home at last on DVD w/ a live CD too celebrating 10 years on the road! Go inside the Ozzfest Tours 10th year, with 60,000 fans at the UK show to the 103º heat of the back lots in Camden, NJ. Ozzy, Sharon & Jack turn out to show, and tell, how a simple idea became one of rocks biggest festivals. The artists and fans of Ozzfest became a mush of togetherness and the music, well, thats what its all about! Ozzy and his festival are now multi-generational and fans, young and old, show up to prove it. The DVD offers the whole story OR a "play concert only" feature. Like Ozzfest, it is ALL about the fan experience.

Ozzfest: 10th Anniversary
Ozzfest: 10th Anniversary 2005 on Blu-ray. Two locations and live performances from Anthrax, Black Sabbath, Rob Zombie and others. Ozzfest: 10th Anniversary filmed at Donnington U.K. In front of 100,000 metal fans and the back lot of Camden, NJ. (U.S.A.). Highly recommended Ozzfest videography.

Try again...
It seems to me that this DVD was made specifically for the UK. Sure they have performances from NJ, but that doesn't mean anything when you don't have the greatest ozzfest performances on the DVD. They should have gone with two DVD's, one for the UK, and one for the US. I don't really care what they would have put on the UK one, because they probably still wouldn't have added Iron Maiden or Judas Priest, but Ozzfest fans really need a US Ozzfest DVD packed with the best of the best performances. I know they are there, I've seen plenty of the shows! Give us a DVD with more Zombie, System of a Down, Black Label Society, Killswitch, Slipknot, Godsmack, Maiden, Priest, Otep, Mastadon, Disturbed, Korn, Manson, Machine Head, Tool, Slayer, Pantera, Drowning Pool, Hatebreed, etc. Seriously now, any of these bands would have been better than the crap they had chosen to represent their "10 year anniversary". The 3 stars are soley for the Sabbath, Zombie and Velvet Revolver performances. Who the hell gave permission to put Bowling for Soup on here? Seriously now... TRY AGAIN!

Who Produced This??
I would consider myself a pretty faithful "ozzfest head", as a matter of fact I am getting tears in my eyes for having to give this review!!! I understand that ozzfest is all about promoting up and coming acts and these acts are a big reason I have attended all but one of the ozzfests. My problem with the DVD is that they left out most of my favorites. Where was the B.L.S.? Mudvayne? What about throwing in some of the footage from when Slipknot played at ozzfest in Cali last year? These are no doubt acts that deserve 3-5 min. on the Anniversary DVD. Overall I have to say I enjoyed it I mean after all there was SABBATH!!

Caution
I've been a fan of Ozzy since the 70's and it's great to see him still doing what he does after all these years, even if he forgets the lyrics on occasion. However, the other bands on this Blu-Ray are a total waste of time. Even Rob Zombie, of which I'm a fan mumbled through the songs and put forth a horrible performance. Maybe I'm getting too old (47) but these "new" bands have little talent and they can't say two words without dropping the F bomb. If I can stand to watch it all the way through, It may be fun to count how many times the F word is used. I'd bet over 100.

Great behind the scenes action and commentary
I was pleasantly surprised by the production value of this concert coverage. Not children friendly but if your buying this you probably already knew that. Great behind the scenes action and commentary. Made me wish I had been there for it in person.

bit poor on content!
When ya think of ozzfest apart from ozzy himself ya think of METAL from awsome bands, unfortunately that's not what ya get on this dvd, a couple of good tracks from a few good bands but some absolute crap thrown in also, so all in all I wasn't satisfied
