The unit is well designed and it fits my double-hung Anderson window in the bedroom perfectly. It is very quiet and powerful enough for my large bedroom with connected bath. My old unit (another make > 4 years) got replaced by me and what a difference it makes. Only I did not find a made-to-fit air intake hose prefilter. My old unit had one (5-inch diameter) which is just smaller than the intake opening. I am trying to use the old one by a make-shift attaching it to the outside of the opening. It should work fine. Will report back if it does not after a few weeks.

This unit is terrible. It allows more heat into the house than it cools. And the number of bugs entering the house through the unit is crazy. It’s a mosquito breeding ground. I was very careful to empty the water 4-5 times a day. I pulled it out after it flooded the floor and ran down to the newly finished basement. I had emptied it about 2-3 hours prior to the flooding. I did have the hose attached to it, and the hose was in a bucket. The bucket overflowed. Not a solution for anyone's cooling needs. I can't return it, so it needs to go in the trash.

This unit performs amazingly. My previous AC was a window model "rightsized" for my 500 sq ft basement bedroom. And it failed miserably. This thing is a beast by comparison, but it purrs like a kitten. Very little noise so it is easy on the ears to leave on all night. It gets my room down to 62 degrees in only a couple of hours and then keeps it that way. My very highest recommendation goes with this unit. Setup was a breeze and it does a good job of circulating air around the room without creating a draft. No worries about water drainage inside either. Whatever water it is making goes right out with the exhaust. The wheels make it easy to move on my LVP flooring... no worries about the weight.

This is my 4th portable AC in my life... This one is different... My last one died and wee were going to have 90 degree weather in two days, so I went on Amazon in a panic and couldn't find my usual companies I rely on... But this one came up with two day delivery... Skeptical for sure, but I remembered my latest microwave was 'inverter' and it worked much better than clicking on and off over time... Make a long story short - This thing is the quietest AC unit I've ever had. And it cools my room real quick. Also, it goes down to 61 degrees, where my others SAY 65 but never get there (I like to sleep COLD)... The sound level reminds me of a trash truck driving down the street a block or so away... NO clicking on and off with BRRRRRR of the condenser....!! I see reviews of it dying over a short time, so I'll update here if that happens.... Best AC yet (So far).

Worth the cost. This has saved me this summer. Perfect temperature control, easy to install. Good size.

As of June 13, I couldn’t be happier with my 16,000 BTU Humhold portable air conditioner. I purchased it for my 30-foot 2010 fifth-wheel RV. My rooftop A/C was still running, but at 16 years old I knew it was only a matter of time before it failed. I’ve already replaced the motor twice myself, so I wanted a reliable backup that would get me through the summer without worrying about a breakdown. This unit fits perfectly in one of my RV windows and is located near the center of the trailer, right next to the bedroom. I work outdoors in the Florida heat and tend to run hot, but this A/C keeps the RV very comfortable. In fact, at night it sometimes gets a little too cold. I currently run it 24/7. During especially humid weather, I also run a dehumidifier for a few hours while I’m at work, then let the Humhold take over the rest of the day. The combination works great. Installation was straightforward. Since RV windows are different than house windows, I had to do a little creative rigging with Gorilla Tape, but it wasn’t difficult. For anyone with a similar-sized RV, I highly recommend this unit. The very front and rear ends of the trailer can get a little warmer during the hottest part of the day, but I have no complaints at all. If your RV is much larger than 30 feet, you may want to consider a larger unit. I also purchased the extended warranty for additional peace of mind. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this purchase and would definitely buy it again

IMO, the BEST portable AC unit on the market. I had already bought and returned two AC units before I bought this one. Both of the prior units I had bought (a whirlpool and a black and decker) were not able to cool my small apt of 600 square feet and the Black and Decker could not even cool down my tiny 120 square foot bedroom when the temp was only 84 degrees outside, I was lucky to get to 78 degrees after 4 hours of running these units on full blast. Although the larger whirlpool one did cool my small bedroom down pretty quickly, but not the living room. But after a more deep research dive (and I mean DEEP) into portable AC units looking at every unit on the market, I learned that inverters and dual hose portable AC units cool more efficiently and more quickly than single hose or normal compression AC units. The 16,000 unit is also smaller and did a dramatically better job of cooling down my apt than the other large whirlpool I bought. I also got the 12,000 BTU one of this same brand for my bedroom which does not have the inverter or the dual hose, yet, it cooled my bedroom down literally in 10 minutes dramatically from 84 degrees. (Like to the low 70’s within 15 minutes) The other units I tried spend hours and never even got close. Highly recommend this product! Both units got the job done, don’t waste your time with other portable units, these are the ones you want! Very happy with these units and so glad I returned the other ones. I don’t usually write that many reviews, but I spent countless hours doing deep research on portable AC units and I wanted to share this in case anyone else is struggling on making a decision. Also this info was hard to find so will provide it here. These are both 5’9 inch wide diameter exhaust hose and both are 59” inches in length. My window is a bit high and one of the other units the whirlpool could not reach my window height and I had to put it on top of a box, but these units both reached my window height no problem.

After a great deal of difficulty with shipping I finally have my air conditioner and I must say that I am very pleased with my purchase so far! Hopefully I get at least 5 years out of this thing. 🤞
