Works great. Not harmful like shock collars. Good value. Battery life is sufficient. Like not having to change batteries when the collar needs a charge. Has reduced the shrill barking 80%. Small and easy to use. Durable and the appearance isn’t noticeable. Has never been wet as far as waterproof, so have nothing to add there.

Whether or not these mechanisms work for your dog is a matter of your dog than the collar itself. My dog was always going to be the kind that responds well to these things, as he barks out of excitement thinking all the neighbor dogs are his friends. This collar works to ensure he is not contributing to the chaos out there.I do not expect this collar or any vibrator collar to work on a dog that's barking out of anxiety, stress, fear, defensiveness, etc. That's when you would try the shock collars instead, and even then with low expectations.If your dog already knows he's not supposed to be barking, this collar offers a timely reminder that mom and dad are watching. This collar has never responded to the barking of other dogs (from what I can tell). It's quite lightweight on a 50lb dog, and the battery life is great. My dog wears this all day long, and we power it off at night. We only need to charge once every 3-4 weeks.The strap seems to be a lightweight material, but has not shown any signs of wear after a couple months. The strap has lots of extra length dangling off it, when worn around my standard poodle's neck. I have not had to fiddle with the options are adjustments much, but that's more to do with my cooperative dog.

We have a mini schnauzer who tends to be yappy and known to be a screamer at times. He was that dog that would bark at anything and anyone walking by our open corner lot, which is often in our neighborhood. After using this he still barks, but only once! He does not like the vibration or the beep at all and immediately stops barking! Took me a minute to figure out the settings and what worked for us, but I will say overall it does work. The only part that I am not a fan of is that on occasion I have noticed that it will vibrate and beep when the dog has not even made a sound. So, the dog thinks he is doing good then gets a correction while quiet. We do not use this while the dog is in the house, only when he is outside or if we go for a walk. I have noticed that even when someone rings the bell or knocks on the door he is hesitant to bark now. I know a lot of people prefer a barking dog, but I am not one of those, not with my mini schnauzer. I would say overall this is a good purchase if you want your dog to quiet down.

I have a corgi and he loves to bark, especially when he sees other dogs or to the tiniest noise. I didn’t want to get a collar that had the shock setting on it, so this one was perfect. You can set the sensitivity and the vibration setting. It beeps for a few seconds and then the vibration is activated, it startles him a little but does not hurt. It helps training him to be around other dogs. The battery lasts a long time, it’s functional and adjustable to his size and it is rarely noticeable appearance wise, unlike other collars. I love it!
