Great features, poor quality
The first watch I bought had a broken indiglo after 3 days. Customer service quickly replaced it. The second watch the heart rate monitor button fell off after 2 weeks. They took it back for a refund.I liked the features - timer, stopwatch, alarm easy to set and start and stop. the heart rate monitor could be accessed from any mode, which was great.

Very disappointing
This is my second sportline solo 900. The first one lasted for several years and I was very happy with the features. Still like the features but this one isn't even six months old and part of the display died so the date and chronometer functions are no longer functional. Don't know what yet but my next watch will definitely be something else.

Awesome watch and kudos for the seller!
When I ordered this watch, initially , I received the ladies version in error from the seller. I contacted the seller via email and received an immediate response with an offer the not only retain the watch that I did receive, but to also choose from three watches of equal or greater value as the S7 that I'd ordered was accidentally shipped to someone else. I ended up with the Sportline SX and I absolutely love it. This model comes with a chest band as well and is equally accurate from both the watch and the chest band. I would highly recommend getting a model with a chest band as it is much more convenient for constant monitoring throughout your workout. Thank you, Mary's Deals for the prompt and top notch service!

Ok for price
I was looking for a heart rate monitor which doesn't require a strap. It seemed to work at first and was right on the mark as my elliptical machine used for testing. However, after a couple months, the rate is a consistently a few points off, and a few times it gave an incredibly high number and an incredibly low number within minutes while I was just standing without any sort of exercise. The instructions were difficult when I had them; unfortunately I can't find them, so I'm stuck. Thank you to the people who noted that sometimes you have to moisten your finger.

Great basic heart rate monitor
I bought this to replace a MIO heart rate monitor watch that I lost. It shipped earlier than expected (thanks, Amazon!) and was a cinch to set up and use compared to the MIO. So far, it has given me exactly what I wanted: feedback on whether my workouts were getting me into my target heart rate zone. I have used that feedback to adjust my workouts, and am therefore getting a more efficient workout. I find it easy to use while working out (walking, jogging, and aerobics). I imagine it would be less effective for high intensity workouts that don't allow freedom of arm movement, as you do have to be free to use your arms to get the reading. I actually prefer this watch to the more expensive watch I had before, even though it is far more basic. I found I didn't use all the bells and whistles, since all I really need is to monitor my heart rate. If that is all you want to do, this is a good watch.

Loved it at first but...
The heart rate monitor worked okay but sporatically at first; but after about 2 months time the HR feature seldom worked. I read the directions carefully, (ensuring that the body is not touching so that it can get a "read", etc...) & followed them to the letter, but no matter what position I'm in - no reading. Great watch; but what's the point? I just bought a different brand with a chest strap which should produce more reliable results.
