Golds Gym XR 8.1 Combo GGBE99517 Weight Bench with 100 Lb. Vinyl Weight Set

Great value for the price, sized well for me, decent variety of weights. Easy assembly except for very first step, but once passed that as long as you follow directions good to go :)

Good set. Two heavy boxes...weights in one, bench in the other. don't panic if they come on different days. My set was made by Weider. The set is good enough to get me through COVID when I can get back to the gym.

I would not recommend this bench for anyone serious about lifting. Though it was easy to assemble to is not olympic size. For an adult it is way too small. The width of the bench is very narrow and also makes for a hard re-racking weights. I could see it being injury prone. I did return this to the seller almost a month and a half ago and have still yet to get a refund. They also sent me one return label for equipment that needed two boxes.

I’d say that the company needs to check how they handle their shipping or something because 2 of the weights came damaged. Also I felt like the bar was a bit too light and the small seat is also a bit too fragile. I’m a heavy guy weighing about 213 so it may just be my weight. Still this product is very worth the buy. I’d just say they need to handle the shipping better since I have seen other reviewers also complain about the shipping.

The media could not be loaded. I bought my Golds gym equipment, wasy instructions, easy to assemble, I also bought mats as seen on video (optional) a tent, because I have my equipment outside my backyard, and a rain cover because I want to care for my equipment, and make it last long, better for me than visiting dirty gyms. I love my equipment from Golds. I am very satisfied, thank you so much!!!

All went well and the bench meets expectations.

First the included bar is worthless. Its not wide enough. I had to order a 7' bar. The support where you place the weight bar is right where you would place your hands on the bar. So your forced to have a very narrow or wide grip on the bar. So with the included bar, your forced to grip narrow because there is no room for your hand between the support and the weights. You really need a longer bar. The 7' cost me $100 and makes the bench worth using. Plus you can add more weights. Be sure you are are ordering a bar for 1" dia weights. The bench seems a little narrow and higher off the floor. I'm 5'9" and have to use my tippytoes to balance while lifting. Its easier for me to use the leg extension bar for balance. So do the math. Your gonna have to spend another $100 to get what you expecting. Since this not my primary piece of equipment i thought it was fair and it does the job intended.
