Our cat's personality has totally changed for the better
Our cat has apparently lived with bladder stones for a lot longer than we knew. She used to be overweight and sedentary but a bladder infection caused her to loose an extreme amount of weight very quickly. The vet found three bladder stones and operated on her to remove them. A couple of months later with the help of the surgery and Royal Canin Feline SO 33 and she is a healthy active cat of an ideal weight. She is so much more playful that she is like a different cat. The Royal Canin food has helped her gain an appropriate amount of weight and to drink a lot more water. It is a great product that is working very well for us.

Controls my cat's symptoms
My 4 year old cat was diagnosed with FLUTD (feline lower urinary tract disease) several months ago and placed on this diet exclusively. Within a very short time all his symptoms disappeared and he is now healthy and happy. I like the convenience of home delivery and not having to go to the vet's office to purchase it.

Great food for my healthy kitty!
My cat LOVES this food! My vet recommended it because he tends to have crystals form in his urine, but we have had zero problems since he started this food. It is a little pricey, but its totally worth it to be able to avoid vet visits for him. Also, he absolutely loves the taste so thats a plus! Healthy kitty! :)

Worked Miracles
One of our cats was constantly getting urinary tract infections. Anyone who has had a cat with a UTI knows that the cat will try to find a place to urinate that doesn't hurt (since they associate the litter box with pain). We went through several rounds of expensive vet visits, urinalysis and antibiotics...not to mention the urinating on area rugs, couch cushions, our bed, laundry, etc. Finally the vet did x-rays and determined that she had bladder stones. Our options were to put her through surgery, which doesn't mean stones won't come back, or try a prescription diet. After a few weeks on the Urinary SO diet, her x-rays were clear and she has not had another stone or UTI since (about 4 years now).I only gave the product 4 stars instead of 5 due to the cost. It seems to cost about $50 for 16.5 pounds everywhere from online to vets offices. It is worth the money, but Royal Canin is making it difficult for some people to keep their cats healthy. Many people can't - or wouldn't be willing - to spend that much on cat food. So many cats are dumped at shelters every year, and I wonder how many of those cats are dumped for urinating outside of the litter pan...and how many of those had UTI's or bladder stones instead of behavioral issues.

Urinary SO gives me peace of mind - and my cat loves it
My cat was diagnosed with a nasty UTI a few years ago, and after that I wanted to put him on a diet that would, hopefully, help prevent future UTIs. I first tried Purina One's urinary health formula, but he seemed unexcited about that food; he tolerated it, but didn't relish it. Then my vet recommended Royal Canin Urinary SO, and I decided to give it a try despite its higher price tag. My cat absolutely loved it. He couldn't get enough. I also had greater peace of mind knowing he was on a high-end food recommended by my vet. Ever since being on it, my cat has been healthy (knock on wood). One bad thing - it isn't recommended for kittens under age 9 months, so when I got a new kitten (6 months) recently, I had to take the Royal Canin out of the mix I was giving my older cat (I mixed it with a dental formula and hairball/weight control formuula). Hopefully the older cat will stay healthy for the next several months, until I can introduce Royal Canin into the mix again.

It keeps my cat healthy
I buy this from my vet in the 7.7 lb. bag for $35.00. So check with your vet first to see how much he/she charges for the larger bags; it will be much less. My vet quit carrying the large bags because they didn't sell well.

Cheaper at my vet's office...
I'm not sure if my vet is losing money or what but I can buy a 16.5 lb bag of SO33 at my vet for $47. The price they're charging here is outrageous...
