At first I was concerned about the lack of reviews but once I received mine that ended. It came well packaged and was exactly as advertised. It took all of 2 bolts and 15 minutes to install... 5 of those were spent figuring out that there was an interior divider that I needed to remove. There are allotted holes if you want to utilize the 12V charger that’s built into the console but I chose to forgo that. The safe is heavy and super solid. The 3-digit tumbler lock was easy to set to my code and the key worked without a hitch. Being new the latch is snug but not too tight to work easily and I’m confident that no one will get it open without taking the whole truck. Of course, you will lose a small amount of interior volume but it’s worth it if you’re going this far.Pro: super solid, easy installation, price is greatCon: only 1 barrel key (any locksmith can make a spare)

The safe was quick and easy to install, fit perfectly and looks like it will give an added measure of security to my vehicle. Of course, no safe can prevent a determined burglar with the right tools, but this should serve as a deterrent. I especially like the key override and ability to recover your lock combination if you forget it.

I just wish the combination lock was 4 digits, instead of 3. 3 Digits is much easier to brute force crack than 4.

Well made, great fit. Unfortunately, it came with only one key. I sent mine back in exchange for a replacement. Hopefully, the second one will come with two keys. If not, I'll ask the manufacturer to supply a second key or ask for a return label.UPDATE - Even though Toyota as told to include two keys, it did not.

I've had this installed for about 18 months now, and loved it initially. In the past few days though, the lock has completely seized up. I can't move any of the numbers, can't reset the combination and the key doesn't do much either. The key moves the lock, but without being able to turn the dials, you can't lock it anyhow. So, if you want a safe that you can't lock after 18 months, get this one. I've emailed the original company (who's paperwork came with the lock and is in the video from another person), and they've sold off this side of their company, so they forwarded me to someone else. Looking at their site though, they don't even make 4Runner safes anymore. Will update if anything changes, but as of right now, I have a nice steel lined center console.

I drive a lot for work so I was wanting something more durable than a locking glove box to hold my valuables (wallet, gift cards, handgun, etc).This is exactly what I wanted. It took all of 10 minutes to put in my 2018 4rnr. In fact, I think it took me longer to clean out my console that to install this safe, haha.You will need to remove the liner at the bottom and unscrew the current bolts, set the safe inside and use the longer bolts and washers it comes with. Easy peasy. Bonus, there is an opening so you still have access to your charging port inside!

Loving my new center console safe for our 2015 TRD Pro 4Runner. It takes less than 5 minutes to install using the bolt holes that are already there. Remove the felt bottom of your current center console to expose the bolts. Using an extender on your ratchet set remove the existing bolts. Drop in your new safe and use the longer bolts that come with the kit. Done!

Fits perfectly. It’s a Toyota factory original part and very happy with the purchase. It was brand new and as advertised. I did a lot of research and this one seems to be the best option plus you get both a key and combo option. The rotary lock is smooth and seems secure enough to at least deter a would be thief. Yes you lose some space and organization options but it’s worth it to gain security.
